This is what I love during a cold winter. Rich, hearty and nourishing, there's nothing better than a big bowl of soup on a chilly day. Thanks for sharing.

TBH I would not blend the majority of these. We'd rather bite into the veggies. I'm making the chicken noodle now. 2 sick kids & me. A little effort but not horrible. Going to try some more of them when better.

@violetroberts861110 ай бұрын
nice soups, but the soup with the chia seeds sprinkled on top could cause issues since the chia seeds eaten without given the chance to expand may cause a blockage and become a choking hazard. Never eat chia seeds without letting them expand first in liquid.

this is nice, but we don't need to blend everything, soup should be somewhat chunky and not puréed or juiced like the nasty store bought stuff. The dumpling soup looked lovely! 😍

In the first recipe what was half n half??? Milk, cream or half fat milk??
@jennamedlyn3 жыл бұрын
In the U.S. we have a product called half and half that is in-between heavy cream and whole milk. You can substitute half and half by putting a tablespoon of heavy cream in a one cup measure and then filling the rest with whole milk
@nuzhatsyed703 жыл бұрын
@@jennamedlyn Thank you so much for replying. Much appreciated xx
@lisahinton96822 жыл бұрын
@@jennamedlyn Umm, you are completely wrong with these instructions. WHY THE HELL DO YOU THINK IT MIGHT BE CALLED "HALF-AND-HALF"?! Half-and-half is HALF milk and HALF cream! WOW, what a concept! If you don't KNOW the answer, kindly keep you fat yap shut!
@lisahinton96822 жыл бұрын
@@nuzhatsyed70 Jenna Medlyn doesn't know what she is talking about. Half-and-half is actually half (by volume) heavy cream and half (by volume) whole milk. So for example, 100 ml whole milk and 100 ml heavy cream would give you 200 ml half-and-half. I am sorry you were given misinformation. Some people don't want to look stupid so they vomit out whatever comes to mind, looking stupid in the end anyway.

For 8:08 , the French Onion Soup; does anyone know a substitute for White Wine? Because I don’t drink.
@4345ghee2 жыл бұрын
White wine vinegar or red wine vinegar will both work. Basically once the onions are well-browned you’ll need to deglaze the browned bottom part of the pan to get that flavour back. Vermouth is traditionally the best but something acidic like the vinegars will work as well.
@ArabicLover1012 жыл бұрын
@@4345ghee thanks!! So I can use vinegar; non-alcoholic. Cool!!
