Or after 2 seasons like Sense8 from the Wachowski sisters. Though they just didn't promote the serie and then cancelled it because of dissapointing views even though the fanbase is insanely passionate about it. There came so much uproar that they got a 2,5 hour special to finish the storylines. I think it was the first time Netflix caved because of the passionate fans.

It's not that it's inaccurate re Russian history per se-it is fantasy after all, it's that she uses the pseudo-Russian names wrong grammatically, misappropriates stuff (she thinks kvas is an alcohol, which nope, she used 'oprichniki' as police/enforcers type of force- where they were tsar guards for like 10-15 years at the end of 16th century only, and she called a character 'Privyet' which means 'Hi/Hello') which could have been easily cleared up by a) googling b) speaking to few Russians c) speaking to any Slav really d) having things Russia proofed- but no one bothered. That's the issue as much as I love this show/the books. And yes, 'Grisha' is an equivalent of 'Greg'. By the Power of Greg Skull ffs.

I new this type of adaption for the renegades series!
@daniellai44033 жыл бұрын
I do like the way Netflix did the adaptation they stayed almost exactly when it came to the shadow and bone characters. Adding Six of Crows makes the timeline very iffy because technically they are supposed to be like 15 or something during shadow and bone. They could've gone the route of staying exactly to the books and doing 1 book per season and maybe 2 seasons for six of crows cause of all the backstory. So Season 1- S&b Season 2- Seige and Storm Season 3- Ruin and Rising Season 4-5- Six of Crows Season 5-6- Crooked Kingdom Season 6-7- King of scars Season 7-8- Rule of Wolves I'm not hating on the way they did it. Netflix did an amazing job bringing the characters to life and making only the necessary changes but the timeline gets a little iffy because in the books six of crows happens like 5 yrs after the events of Ruin and Rising making the characters way younger than they betray them. If they had left Nina's and Matthias's story in season 1 and not the rest of the crows that would've fit the timeline just a little better. I still love what they did with the show. Don't get me wrong they did such an amazing job, right actors and right lines.
