homer simpson you’ve probably figured it out by now, but he became Enerjak again some years after the series, and in trying to stop him, Sonic got his eye shot out. Even after acknowledging that he went out of control, he still held a grudge against Sonic over it.

It's been a year so you probably figured it out, but if not- King Shadow was written to be a well intentioned extremist. His storyline was written before Sonic 06 and future Archie comics properly established him as an all-in-all good guy. as for rouge and Omega? omega wasn't introduced to the comics until much later and rouge? I dunno I guess the writers just aren't fans of her.
