What year was this? Not a candy raver in sight, all I see is shaved heads and bomber jackets, Nike,Adidas, Lonsdale and grey camo pants. Everyone's just wearing normal clothes, no phat pants! I'm assuming this is in Rotterdam, GO Feynoord, SCREW Ajax! Love from a Hardcore Hooligan from Down Under 🐨🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🐨so many classic tracks I haven't heard in many years, thank you, thank you all. I fark'n loved that! They're (the DJ's) aren't even allowed to play Hard Core anymore ☹️ at most venues . Mad props to the camera people!

Definitely 90s. Nobody in the Hardcore scene wore Candy then. You would probably get hassled if you wore it.

@@jjj4875 True that. Even in the early '00, a mate of mine (who'd never been to a rave b4) got punched in the face for wearing a pink feather boa. He was heaps upset so I took him up on stage and danced with him. He couldn't believe it!

@@matthewgrove-jones3001 That's crazy, and a bit of a dog act. Yeah I saw a few fights at hardcore parties in Sydney. I'm not homophobic, but anything perceived as gay back then was highly frowned upon in the gabber scene. Similar to the hip hop scene.

@@jjj4875 don't know if there's still as much stigma attached or if C's still get bashed for it. Around 05 I brought some hardcore CD's over to my mate's place (got into HC 03) . She had all her friends round and they all thought it was hilarious and asked me if I was gay and told me 'thats the music they play in gay nightclubs'. I tried to explain to them that it's rave but they just told me to accept myself and all that shit. None of them had 🐝 to a rave and were all into Metal. I hooked up with one of them a few years before but she turned out to be a lesbian.

@@matthewgrove-jones3001 Yeah that all started to change in the 2000s. Pretty much in society in general. That's a funny story with those girls. Sounds like they were trying to stir you up bro lol...At least you a root out of her:) I don't think people in other scenes realize how big the hardcore scene was. I watched a doco on the Gabber scene in the Netherlands. Apparently almost 1 in 4 young people there were into hardcore there. Actually Thunderdome 2022 sold out already.
