What are the chances i come across this video. Back in 2014 i was working at a Ford dealership in Dunton/Basildon in Essex and when ever we needed to road test a car in order to diagnose a suspension fault/noise me and another technican would go down a really poorly made road that was off a country road about 2 miles away from the dealership. While we were driving down said road once we actually come accross this very focus park up deep in the bushes infront of what looked like a derilict little house (the one you have a picture of that you used for the thumbnail) it still had the boot lid on but the bootlid glass was smashed through due to a branch falling and putting it through. It had a tarpoolin accros the parcel shelf to replace the smashed rear window, and it was absoultly brimmed with beer cans as you mentioned , must of been well over 200+cans. We got out the car and walked over to the focus to get a closer look but as we got near it the passenger front door opened and a really rough looking, fairly old homeless man poked his head out and just stared blankly at us. That was enough weirdness to make us turn around shaprish and get back in our car and drive away. I took a picture of it and run some checks on it and it had been bought from our dealership back in 2010 and as you said it had never been mot'd. like you, we found this very strange and bizzare. For the next year whenever we went on road tests we would always pop down the little country road to see if anything had changed with the focus but it never did. It never moved, it never changed and the only differnece there was everytime we wnt down there was the ammount of beer can that were appearing. The foucs was so full of old beer cans that the guy that was living in it started dumping them all around the car on the floor. After about a year and a half of first discovering the foucis back in 2014 the man that was living in it had dissapreaed but the car always remained. The last time i went down there and had a look at this car was probably 2019 and it was still there then. It was a very strange road in the middle of nowhere that we found this car and there were other cars that were abandoned in the same area aswell. There was an old landrover, a transit connect, a mk3 escort estate and to this day there is a 2006 mercedes c-class in there. If you like i can tell you its exact location and road that it was abandoned on for 99% of its life and if you fancy it, you could go to it yourself and see the other cars that are there and just have a little mooch about. Just let me know :). P.S. There is an abandoned barn deep in the woods that i found that had 2 mk3 fiestas, a mk4/5 escort, a 2003 citroen and a old rover convertable thing (i took pictures of all of this and still have them if you would like to see them)

This one reminds me a lot of the state of my neighbour's sons car when he returned from university after 3 years. £80! What a deal, at that money you could get yourself a Focus 3 piece suite for the living room. Melamine sponges work a treat on those really contaminated dirty dashboards etc. Excited to see the transformation. A set of sporty graphics or a coachline would liven it up that somber black no end. Really not worth the grief. It may only have 19k miles but there's huge work to be done. The handbrake mech is rusted up, the body control module is corroded, it needs paintwork, 4 new tyres, a service plus cambelt kit let alone the massive job of replacing that whole interior Inc the roof lining. Electrics will be a nightmare. Labour spent on something more worthwhile will bring far more money than this old Focus. The reg number is also all over the net, enough to put off many potential buyers. Better to have broken it up for parts. The engine & box would bring £500, twice the complete cars worth

Found this really interesting as I watched clips to pass the time during a period of self-isolation. Why would a very good car which has only done 19,000 miles and never been in an accident have been abandoned after its tailgate was taken off and interior taken out - presumably abandoned before it was 3 years old given no MOT history etc? Could it be that someone committed suicide in it or someone was murdered in it - hence blood-soaked seats etc being removed after the tailgate was taken off to get access to the body/bodies??

Not quite the same thing but I swapped interior bits from a 1996 Mazda 626 wagon (GV) into a 1988 Mazda 626 GT sports hatch (GD). Seats, door cards, center console, could have done the dash too but I didn't bother and liked the 80's dash better -as with the carpet since it was horrible synthetic - hard to clean and the GT had quality loop pile carpet. Dyed the carpet and the dash black to match the swapped in GV stuff. And to this day it looks like it came from the factory with that interior. It does depend on the manufacturer as to if you can mix and match across different models. Some Fords you can, perhaps you could have got those Focus seats you wanted they could have fit.
