Don’t know why there’s a thumbs down, but this is awesome! The chair version is like $4,000-$6,000. This is something I can build my mom. Thank you, sir!

I like this. That trolly is wedge shaped from the side. Take the vertical part, hinge it at the bottom so it snaps into place and holds up the platform. That way you can collapse the trolly, make the whole thing flat, put the entire thing on some heavy duty fence gate hinges with blocks underneath the rails that rest on the stairs when folded down into operating position. When you aren't using it or need the space to move something big, it just folds up along the wall taking up maybe 6" of stair space at most. Seen several of these designs but yours is the closest to being able to fold up along the wall. Just a few modifications I think. And the parts are quite affordable. Thanks!

It runs with electric power sir or is it manually-operated?
@southjerseysound73403 жыл бұрын
It uses a electric winch from harbor freight. But you can use a 12vdc winch too but it would require more to make work

It is dangerous because it has nothing to prevent someone from falling backward, should they lose their balance. You should build a balustrade on the platform for safety

True, or build a chair, but it is for a quick up and down ... healthy people in a hurry and there is a banister on both sides.
@newmankidman57633 жыл бұрын
@@billblanning2068, I had not noticed the banister on the side of the escalator, I have now, and yes, that is good for safety. Thanks for pointing it out to me

@@newmankidman5763 I have a new one coming out soon. It has the same controls as the single stair and $250 escalator elevator but works for my house, which has a landing. It will be a $300 version because it has a bigger motor and single line speed. Better video I hope. I couldn't use the single stair because there is a door at the bottom of the stairs and the extended bottom stair blocks it. Maybe you haven't seen it. Just put in my name and you can see it and the grocery store elevator from a garage door opener.

@@billblanning2068, I have now watched all three of your videos, of course including the Single Stair you recommended I watch. I must say that the Single Stair is truly ingenious and inspiring. Bill Blanning, you are a genius, and thank you for recommending the video to me

@@newmankidman5763 Your welcome and thank you. It is just seeing a need and inventing something to fill it ... that and having the patience to try various things until something works.
