I always remember Mark with great affection. I worked with him and under his supervision at Andrew Zago Architecture in downtown Los Angeles 31 years ago, right before entering my M Arch at SCIARC. I’m very happy to see the well deserved responsibility he now holds. We had great talks while working in the office and often had lunch at a Thai eatery right across the street. He recommended spicy pepper ground beef with white rice, the best! He gave me a book with a great written dedication about “Ciudad Universitaria de Caracas” (that’s where I’m from) and Villanueva by Sybil Moholy Nagy, that still sits in my library. Thank you, Mark. He’s part of my LA memories.
