Still exciting decades later. What a creation. Best game show ever.

A creation of Bob Stewart. He worked with Goodson-Todman for many years, helped to create Password, and had the idea of Pyramid, but he couldn't sell Mark Goodson on the idea it would be successful. Eventually he created his own company, Pyramid was one of his first shows.

My favorite all-time game show. It required concentration and quiet, two things that are sorely lacking from today's game shows (with the exception of "Jeopardy!"). The Winner's Circle showcased some of the brightest players and celebrities (Earl Holliman, Shelley Smith, Nipsy Russell). Today, it's all hysteria and hype.

I loved those guys!! My other faves were Richard Klein (no better clue for "sacrificed" than "a Biblical lamb"), Jamie Farr, LeVar Burton, Vickie Lawrence, Charlie Siebert, Betty White, and a couple of others that I can see but can't remember their names! But when they were on it, they were on it!

@usanatv2007sentertainmentinc. Yes, the questions/answers are "good" (an argument can be made that the difficulty of the questions has also been reduced) but the MC is a joke. It's about as bad as Drew Carey leading "The Price Is Right".

My first thought was "erect nipples." Not sure if that would have helped or not. You know, I have to admit... this Winner's Circle segment (the bonus round) of Pyramid is more exciting than any other "bonus round" of any other game show. It's more exciting than Final Jeopardy, for example, which often isn't exciting at all, when the winner has more than twice the amount of his/her nearest competitor. I enjoy watching Fast Money, I think it's called on the old Family Feud clips, but it's not as exciting as this. Watching Wheel of Fortune's final puzzle also isn't as exciting, nor is anything on the Password game show. For whatever reason, this Winner's Circle segment on Pyramid is more fun to watch than any other game show's final segment. (At least for me.)
