Pretty sure u have to have 105-6% save & they will appear. U get 106% by collecting all 47 gems & 30 gold relics. This means u gotta beat all of the secret levels & the new bonus level. Since the game has 1 bonus level u dont need all of the relics as gold, so u can leave 1 relic to sapphire & still get the fake crash. Personally i saved that 1 freebie for hot cocos relic, havent been able to get a gold relic on it.

After uve done this an adittional gem will appear when u go near the warp rooms console next to the pathway that leads to cortex's area. Ull get some fireworks for picking it up & ull have fake crashes in crash 3
