The power-up he was using grants a turbo boost when you press accelerate, but the lack of flames may be a glitch or something.

@@kielbaily8513 this is glitch called super engine polswid, with correct combinations of pressing acceleration and arrows, you can achieve speed much faster than blue fire

Late reply but. I think the technique is called "Polswid" or "Polswitch". Very few people know how to do this. I think there's guide somewhere.

@@flaming007 Oh thanks. Seems like obscure tech unless you play online where the Super Engine powerup is available, then it's worth learning. It's very easy to do with that powerup by the looks of it. The lack of fire does seem like a bug though.
