Last week Glacier Point Road opened for the 2024 season and I was there, so today we're headed up to Glacier Point, one of the most iconic clifftop viewpoints in Yosemite National Park. Lovely video. I'm partial to any view of Half Dome that reminds me of the day I hiked to the top and got engaged to my husband. It's wild to see so much snow in May, but I live in the south. Happy travels!

Hi, beautiful video 😊 At one point you said that the park requires vehicle entry reservations through October. If you have a reservation for Curry Village, is it then also required to make an entry reservation? I will arive on a midweek day in Otober and leave on a Saturday. If you have a reservation for in park camping or lodging (including Curry Village) you do not need an additional entry reservation for the dates you have lodging inside the park & in October park entry reservations are only needed for weekends. The official Yosemite NPS website also has the most up to date information on the 2024 reservation system. I hope you have a wonderful trip!😊

Does Glacier Point have a bigger drop off from the top to the bottom of it than Taft Point?

Glacier Point has an elevation of 7,214 ft (3,200 ft above the valley floor) vs. Taft Point which has an elevation over 7,500 ft (3,500 ft above Yosemite Valley) the official Yosemite NPS website also has wonderful information about each of these incredible spots. 😊
