Over the years the absence of drinking parties remains a welcome change, particularly for individuals like me, who naturally abstain from alcohol. For non-drinkers, such gatherings often present more of a hassle than enjoyment. It's challenging for drinkers to understand this perspective. Proposing a significant increase in the liquor tax, for instance, setting it at ten thousand yen for a 350ml can of beer or shochu spirits, might never extreme. However, this could serve another purpose, providing a substantial contribution to government revenue for drinkers. Even those who indulge in alcohol could see this as an opportunity to positively impact society, despite the potential for addiction. Thanks.
