Glad to see you back GA, I know you have been busy. I really enjoy these mixed hunts but man, those quarter rolls were not cool. Someone was definitely doing that on purpose, as you said, they weigh about the same, so they knew what they were doing. At least they gave you that 54 in the process, but still, that ruins the fun of it in the grand scape of things. Getting the Loonies in the dollars rolls was pretty unusual, but I enjoy Canadian finds. LOL Thanks as always for putting these together, hope you are well and look forward to the next one!

I actually have made that mistake honestly. I made the fatal mistake of trying to process more than one denomination at a time and accidentally put 2 nickels into my quarter tupperware and didn't check while filling rolls to recycle. That was initially, when I first started searching rolls 5 years ago. I almost lost my source from that mistake

I am sure i have shorted or put extra coins in a roll in all the time I have done this but never anything this egregious. You could tell this was purposeful. Even the location and number of nickels per roll was the same.

Ive been stashing rolls of 1982 of all denoms as wll as 2009s-2012s. It sure adds up fast when you pull all of the 95% Cu. Ive put away 27 rolls, of pennies, and counting.ill start searching for Ag in another 6 weeks a lot more seriously.

Another great episode today. When you catch the coin collecting bug, it's hard to shake. I'm currently doing my 3rd Jefferson nickel album 38-24 & my 4th Roosevelt dimes album 46-24. I enjoy the hunting..

Customer-wrapped stuff can do you weird, for sure. I had a quarter in come SBA $1s, and in a roll of halves, it got real crazy when I found a batting cage coin from Oregon (and I'm in Texas), a 1922 British penny and couple of other newer foreigns that were around half-dollar sized. Even if you get got now and then, the good finds more than make up for it. What you had going on definitely was purposeful though.

Yeah, this is my 3rd or 4th customer hunt that included rolls from the same bank that had these purposefully mistuffed rolls. I think we finally cleaned out the teller that had these, so hopefully we won't see any more.

I went to buy coins at my bank and 4 of the rolls were several coins short which I pointed out before I bought them. They swapped them out but I couldn’t even believe they took those in since they were obviously multiple coins short. I never short rolls I pack. I count and weigh them to make sure they are accurate.

I do the same...which kills me when I get shorted rolls. I have one bank where they admitted they finally caught the person brining in all of their nickels stuffed quarter rolls. They won't let them deposit rolled coin anymore.

@@SuperRtrtrtr Mine as well. My bank won't even accept "Customer Wrapped" rolls from their largest business clientele. I think it's ridiculous and to boot, I get charged .50 per roll , inorder to have something to search. I thwart my banks surcharge by getting my rolls at the Pig 🐖.

It's obvious to me that not all collectors look for the same thing in rolls. I got a box with no copper pennies but I scoped what was there and found 2 ddos

I have picked up both customer rolls and boxes that were all or mostly zinc. Now finding 2 DDOs in a boxes of pennies is tremendous. I can go 6 months without finding a DDO in pennies.

I actually stopped getting rolls from a certain bank because the customer wrapped variety were always short on coins or had the famous nickel swap in rolls. It's sad that some people continually do this. Take care. Subbed.

What’s your average percentage of silver do you find? Example would be 1:1,000 making an average of 0.1%

No idea. Most people over the course of a year that do this in volume average like 2-3 per box. Some people are luckier than others or have 1 or 2 big scores that throw all the math off. For instance. Dad’s spare change like 2 years ago got 2 boxes and between the two it had around 750 walking liberties. That throws your average way out of whack. My biggest box was like 80 or 90 silvers. Something like that. A guy on Facebook the other day picked up $500 in customer wrapped halves and I think all but a roll or two were silver.

I guess I should add... the droughts are real. I have gone 27-28 boxes in a row without silver before (in half dollars). Then you hit that box that has 30 silvers in it... and you are back to 1 silver per box. :-) Just setting expectations that an average doesn't mean that every box will have silver.

You better report what Bank it came from to your viewers ... because in 70 years of coin hunting this has NEVER happened to Mr. I have lived in 15 different states and been members of banks that are now closed and also credit unions ! Unless You "Staged" this ??? Anyone could feel the difference in hand rolled quarters !

I don’t inspect each roll at the bank. The teller hands them to me and I drop them in a bag or small bucket. As i said in the video, if you go off of weight, the quarter and the nickel are not far enough apart to make a difference in total weight of a roll. I was shorted something like 20 quarters out of a Loomis box once as well. So even the machine processing screwed it up. I don’t plant or fake anything on the channel.
