You can watch my recordings in the video. At least I can see a person from 200 meters. I haven't tried more. In general, the range depends on the size of the object and the difference in temperature from the environment.

A snake is a cold-blooded animal. It is difficult to say how well a thermal imager will search for it. It sees warm-blooded animals well. If you just want to find an animal, this thermal imager will do a good job. But for hunting, there is a better solution - T2 Pro. It also has a focal length setting.

If a snake was basking in the rocks and then crawled out onto the cold ground, the thermal imager will detect it.
