I'm an Aviation Geek and love all things Airline/Transportation: I was a Flight Attendant for 10 Years! I'm interested in the Civilian transport, like Luxury Yachts, Captain Yachts, Freighters, Diplomatic, VIP, and the repurposed Federation ships for civilian use. As always your lore and your personal kit bashing is just outstanding! Do you Play STO? Thanks Again, I always look forward to what ship you are going to showcase!

I think the Eisenberg class and the USS Nog in particular were a wonderful tribute to Aron and to Nog who may have had the most character growth of any single character in all of Star Trek. If not the most, he's at least up near the top of the list.

Finding this community is like a breath of fresh air. @TriAngulumStudiosAudioComics, your own video here on the Eisenberg class ship is interesting and well-presented; I didn't even know this class of starship was present in Discovery! It was refreshing when Discovery went to the Future -- both for ship designs and story. From 2002 to 2020ish, we had only done prequels. It's tough to design a 23rd century starship that is visually interesting while also being consistent with something designed in the 60s.

You'd think that by the 31st century, Starfleet would have come up with something better than dilithium moderated matter/antimatter reactions to power starships. Extracting quantum vacuum energy, or tapping a cosmeg universe via a controlled dimensional rift. The Romulans used singularirty based powerplants, which would be another option and shows other methods are possible.

As much as I would love to see a series set during the Enterprise-B era, an exploration ship trying to make it to the nearest galaxy would be rather interesting. Though even Mass Effect: Andromeda, with its more rule breaking FTL travel, still took several hundred years and relied on sleeper ships, so it may not be the most interesting in a (somewhat) more grounded series like Star Trek.

yeh i think its intentions look wise is simple . its a flying starfleet badge xD i get the field manipulated nacelles but they do seem a tad awkward if they were more in line with tail a and inset more narrow way it would flow better and enhance badge atheistic discovery has some great looking vessels ( except the klingons ofc ) and i wish they had more budget for dynamic usage of some of them my main gripe with discovery was the disrespect of starfleets miracle workers chief engineers ( they have always been starfleets secret weapon hhhaha ) the federation one of the most advanced and adaptable tech/civs and with some of the most sophisticated ships as already stated savantist ship engineers lol in the quadrant/galaxy . even loosing the fleet to the burn (i really dislike the writing of why the burn happened ) they didnt adapt to a completely different warpcore designs. there were numerous designs and tech they could of reintegrated/retrofit into current federation ship design from members of federation going back 600 years and further it just didnt jive with sacristy reintroduced to the federation and the tension and urgency implied by limited di-lithium thank you for another great story , i love it just feels like an authentic bit of canon great delivery thank you :) l

You know that theory they have nowadays about the reason spiral galaxies hold themselves together like they do is because they are kind of glued together with dark matter. Rants & Raves...about how good this video is. Not connecting the warp nacelles for ships with a tactical lean, that I can see, but to do so on a pure science vessel, where the unknown is actively sought out, should at least mean taking some design precautions given that, yes, they know a lot, but they don't know everything, and that unknown can bite you in the aft end.

@@TriAngulumStudiosAudioComics Ok; then it seems to me the line is between expressing why I might not like it and expressing why you shouldn't either. I agree with that. And that's a good way to explain it philosophically. For example: Discovery breaks the fourth wall for me. It throws out a bunch of canon, canon that I spent years cultivating all so I could understand the rules of this universe, so ignoring these rules makes it a different universe. But I'm in no place to tell you what you should or shouldn't like.

What specific canon do you feel it throws out?

@@TriAngulumStudiosAudioComics Discovery travels the galaxy....on fungus. At least the warp drive has actual theoretical physics to back it up. ST has always been sort of medium science fiction. It didn't hold itself strongly to science, but it at least tried. Travelling the galaxy on fungus is just too much for me to suspend my disbelief. Strange New Worlds on the other hand, that's a great new series. It doesn't ask me to consume a Pangalactic Gargleblaster before viewing it.

Okay so... Discovery traveling on Fungus is not a canon violation. That's just something you don't like, even though it actually IS based in science! I'm asking you to back up your comment about it "throwing out a bunch of canon." Because, as Im sure you know, this channel thrives on Canon, both Standard and Beta Canon. And Ive found that DSC is one of the shows that violates canon the least... So I eagerly await your response to see if I missed something!

What a lovely video - your stories make so much sense and are enriching the starships of ST! 🫶 I would love to know what people like Doug Drexler think of them…
