@HeyGuysItsJory Chimerical means highly unreal, fanciful, imaginary. This song is Olive imagining her parents telling her that they love her. The parents are played by the Comfort Counselor and Rona, the most comforting adults at that moment. Yes, her mum did go to India, and her dad doesn't have time for her, but they don't make up in this song. Olive is just wishing that her parents would love her.

What I think it is is that Olive's mom went to India and left them and that the father is really stressed about raising her by himself. As a result he abuses her (not physical specifically) "I think he takes out on me" but I could be wrong, because Olive is a little girl she doesn't get that her mom probably isn't coming back.I think she's imagining her parents loving her, I think she wants her parents to be like Rona and Mitch. Then the end of the song she realizes that wont happen

that was really good :) the acting especially! :D i auditioned this with 2 friends for a concert with our youtheatre (i was Olive 8] ) and although we didnt get it in, it went really well :) i was nearly rying by the end, proper spine-shivering stuff, eh? X) ahhhh i'd kill to do this show :) xx
