video fatto da me sulla spiaggia dello sri lanka unico pezzo di costa di 20 km che non ha avuto danni e vittime ma guardate in 5 minuti il mare come si ritira e poi torna e si riprende il suo spazio ........ e stato veramente un'esperienza unica .

si vero il grosso è arrivato dall'altra parte dell'isola qui e arrivata la prima onda 3 ore dopo cioè alle nove ma all'una come vedete nel video il mare si è allontanato dalla costa ed è stata la prima volta poi siamo scappati all'interno oramai eravamo spaventati che il mare arrivasse e ci portava via ... comunque a noi e andata di lusso qui per 20 km di costa non ha fatto danni e morti mentre in tutta l'isola sono morti centinaia di persone ...dio ci ha lasciato vivere ....e per questo lo ringrazio...

in the afternoon we went to ragama with relatives we saw in the garden of the church thanks all the displaced people it was a tragedy we were lucky and I thank god for saving us...

The fact happened in 2004 in those years 70% of the population did not have a TV so it is normal that they did not understand what was happening but not only them but many tourists also died ..

Если Вы учились в советской школе, то должны знать, что при цунами вода уходит не не 300-400 метров, а на километры, в зависимости от прибрежного дна. Это обычный суточный отлив-прилив при антициклоне и минимальных ветрах. Даже в некоторых местах восточного побережья Азовского моря в августе-сентябре вода отступает до 500 метров по утрам. А ближе к обеду так же набегают приливные волны, только более мелкие, чем в видео. И, вообще, поинтересуйтесь, как переводится с японского ЦУНАМИ...

to the best of myknowledge there is no living memory of a tsunami happening in the Indian Ocean so these people would not recognize the signs...despite numerous small waves coming in doesn't mean there isn't one large wave waiting to happen...hopefully for themn it didn't...but we know it was devastating to other parts of the Sri Lankan coastline.

Guarda che dove ero io la prima onda anomala e arrivata alle 9.15 io il video l'ho fatto alle 13 più o meno naturalmente poi visto che il mare non si calmava sono scappato in un paese lontano dal mare e dopo ci e il giorno dopo ci e arrivato il messaggio della protezione civile siamo andati in una struttura governativa e poi rientrati con un volo della protezione civile...

I don't know maybe people love tragedies but here we were lucky they are the only 10 km of coast without major damage and deaths .. luckily they had the rocks to protect us ..

Certo ora lo sappiamo tutti ma nel 2004 non era così io lo avevo capito che qualche cosa non andava ma non pensavo allo tsunami fino a che non abbiamo acceso la TV ..e visto il disastro che aveva fatto dalla parte opposta dell'isola li e arrivato 3.5 ore prima con onde altissime...

@@brina084 si effettivamente e stato l'unico pezzo di costa dove non ci sono stati morti circa 15 km di spiaggia noi nel pomeriggio ci siamo spostati all'interno dell'isola e il giorno dopo ci e arrivato un SMS della ambasciata che ci hanno fatti andare in un albergo e poi dopo due giorni siamo rientrati con un volo della protezione civile ..il nostro governo e stato molto bravo in questa occasione ...
