Amazing track off a beautiful album. I first heard Alele Diane on a free mojo cd back in 2009 called New Harvest. I decided to compile the same tracks off that cd into a playlist last night for Apple & Spotify. I ended up listening to her songs for the majority of the session. Love it.

Damn! too much emotion here...can't explain the feeling. I didn't pay attention to the lyrics, this is my first pass through this song. The emotion alone reeled me in. All I can say is...WOW!

Lyrics: While some folks row way up to heaven I'm gonna sing The Pirate's Gospel I'm gonna sow these feet for dancin' I'm gonna keep my eyes wide open Mm, mmm mm Yo-ho, yo-ho, yo, ho ho Yo-ho, yo-ho-ho Yo, ho ho Sing The Pirate's Gospel Add another flame to our forest Where big bellied whales keep us chanting We're slapping fireflies for tiny dancers Where the children creep Until the morning When the sun does seep Into our bare flesh Until the fingernails Will take us home Mm, mmm mm Yo-ho, yo-ho, yo, ho ho Yo-ho, yo-ho-ho Yo, ho ho Sing The Pirate's Gospel While some folks pray Their path to Jesus We're gonna sing The Pirate's Gospel We're gonna sow our feet for dancing We're gonna keep our eyes wide open We're gonna sing The Pirate's Gospel We're gonna chant The Pirate's Gospel You'll find us clap The Pirate's Gospel Mm, mmm mm Yo-ho, yo-ho-ho, yo, ho ho Yo-ho, yo-ho Yo, ho ho Sing The Pirate's Gospel Sing The Pirate's Gospel

@ytonaona "Creeping" means to walk or move in such a way, so as to not be discovered or noticed. In this image she is probably depicting children who are supposed to be asleep indoors. You are welcome. I wish I knew as much French as you know English!
