I’ll check the pH with strips and a meter, check optical density with a Secchi stick, look for contaminants and overall algae health under a microscope, mix new media to move the culture into a larger container, and transfer the cultures.

What ?? No , your body will always neutrilize the ph of the food that goes into the body, so no matter what you eat the gastric acid will eventually neutralize the ph

That just can't happen. If you're body somehow became alkaline you'd probably die on the spot, how that could happen through eating algae is impossible. Each part of your body and it's fluids are a different pH. For example, your skin is slightly acidic, your stomach highly acidic, your intestines alkaline. Your body maintains the pH of these areas naturally regardless of what you consume. Same way if your body temperature somehow changes a few degrees Celsius above or below 37 then you die. So when it's hot your body sweats to cool and when it's cold your body shivers to warm up.
