26-day Stalybridge closure starts for Transpennine Route Upgrade

Class 66s on engineering trains could be seen at Stalybridge on Saturday, March 11, 2023 - the first day of a 26-day closure for the TRU, with no trains running between Leeds, Huddersfield and Manchester Piccadilly on the Standedge route . I keep hearing about Stalybridge in the project and its nice to see some works going on there. Hopefully all goes to plan within the 26 day timeframe and we see some long overdue improvements to the service in the not so distant future. Thanks for the video! Very informative :)
