This is the beauty of the show: We know how it will end, but, as Hermes says, "'Cause here's the thing / To know how it ends / And still begin to sing it again / As if it might turn out this time". I knew how it would end from the start, but I still hoped that it would end with Orpheus & Eurydice getting out. That's how damn good this show is: They flat-out tell you how it ends at the beginning, but you still hope they'll get their happy ending despite yourself.
