#11 - you can get your tire pressure checked and tires filled for free at any car garage (Tuffy, PepBoys, etc.), so you don't necessarily need to buy a gauge yourself, although it's still useful to have.

Speaking of biweekly mortgage payments, how about opting for a 15 year mortgage instead of 30 year mortgage and saving about .75% on interest payment?

The recommended air pressure is usually located on the frame of the driver's side door.

#20 I created a spreadsheet with all monthly, quarterly and annual expenses. I add all of those up and then divide by 26. (I get paid ever other week.) It is like creating your own escrow account. With a spreadsheet, you can update the amounts as necessary and avoid surprises. An emergency account is for the surprises.

PSA: DO NOT inflate your tires to the psi on the tire. That is a max allowable. The ideal inflation for *your* car is on a sticker inside the door jam on your car.

Yes, this misinformed tip is actually dangerous. The tyre pressure is unique to your car and there is usually a label on one of your sills or doorframes when you open the driver/passenger for. Other than this one thing, all the advice is fantastic :)

Catch Phrase: Would I work ## of hours for this purchase. For instance, going to a fine restaurant, you make $20/hr and you buy a meal that cost $100, would you work 4 hours for that meal?

does anyone know of an app that automatically increases savings by 1% each month? I can't seem to find one....so does that mean everyone is doing this manually?
