I'm thinking of going to Japan for the first time next year for a 7-day short trip, and this First Cabin idea looks perfect for just me. If I save up money now, I think I can go a little earlier than planned. This was helpful, and it was less than $30 for one night? That's great, and the ammenities too, and shower. Even better.

That looks nice. I think capsule hotels are an interesting concept. Great video!

It's a great idea. We need these in New York but with locks. Unfortunately I think people would not be as considerate as they are in Japan.

If the rooms don't have a lock, I wonder what happens if you accidentally take the wrong capsule. You think they'll notice the mistake on the security cameras? I'm sure a mistake like that is more prone when there are not very many guests...

In this video, you couldn’t do your favourite “splash” into your bed 🤫, need to be quiet. This capsule hotel concept is good, cater for single traveller. Thanks for the video.

No AC would be a deal breaker and would check out immediately.

I really enjoy your videos but I know that a capsule hotel is not for me. I just couldn't go to sleep without a lock on the door and no bathroom in my room. I have seen so many styles of hotels and decor but those two things are a deal breaker for me.

There do actually exist capsule hotels with lockable rooms that have a toilet. But those are not capsule rooms really. Bathrooms are even rarer. I had a room like that once in Matsumoto - I forget the name of the hotel, but that's okay because it was utter crap and I had to shorten my stay. That day I had learned that cheap rooms are oftenly cheap for a reason 😀 There is this weird hotel that Abroad in Japan once visited, where you can rent a whole capsule dormitory for yourself, which also comes with a full bathroom and toilet. That's probably the only capsule hotel you might like 😀

I’ve stayed in hostels in Sweden (I am Swedish myself) and it was honestly fine even though I shared room with strangers (bunk bed layout) and/or had no toilet in the room. I think for me a capsule hotel would work but it’s not something I’d want to stay in in Europe because too many here don’t have respect for others the way that Japanese people do. In Japan however I would feel totally safe in a capsule hotel, especially in one like in the video, where you have to hold a card to the women’s floors to even be able to go there, and generally Japanese people are very very polite and respectful towards others and other peoples property

Завидую японцам. Наши хостелы страшно снимать а жить там невозможно🙈. Казармы с двух ярусными койками. Всё напоказ никакого уединения. Жильцы в большинстве очень неприятные люди.
