Good morning. Yesterday, I was tasked with helping some friends fall a tree. One brother was there when I arrived and the other was gone. The one that was gone told me it was a tree between the house and the neighbors garage. The brother that was there told me which tree it was, the only one between the house and the neighbors garage. We falled it, and then the other brother showed up, freaking out. Apparently to him, a tree in the neighbors yard, behind a fence was what he wanted down... not even on their land. It was a fiasco. On a positive note, it went down right where we wanted it to, without a twig hitting the house or garage.

i dont know if i am ever going back to running a stock bar from stihl or husky, but the stihl i could get 3 or 4 full chains used up when hand filing. i switched to a laminated bar on my husky. i've run stihl and husky oil and tsc brand.. i found that extreme oil and for summer running, it just seems the saw likes it alot better. your saw sounds a little high pitch running, maybe its the muffler or just the small pieces. or atmospherics and just adjusted different than here.

You asked us to tell you what we like. We just moved to a property where we heat my office just with wood and the houses about 50% with wood. My son-in-law has cut down some of the rotten and overgrown trees on our property and we plan to use that instead of buying it next winter. I’ve only used wood for campfires, so I like to hear all the practical details of how to cut trees, process wood and keep your equipment in good shape that you talk about with your buddies.
