#26 Renovating my grandparents homestead in Portugal

Lots of time dedicated to the house walls this week, started preparing the cellar to store the potatoes, and we poured the irrigation tank concrete base pad,

A very productive week, the corn is looking good. Dinner looked delicious. The House walls look amazing! Your dog is such a character, he is also waiting for the irrigation tank lol.

I have looked at a lot of videos of villages, farms and country towns in Portugal and they all looked rundown, nearly deserted, but Cerveira looks quite prosperous, neat, clean and tidy - the residents must love it.

Há uma caixa tipo funil em que se mete a massa pronta para preencher espaços entre as pedras, tem parafuso sem fim tipo Arquimedes que injeta a massa por acção de berbequim normal, pesquisa na net porque aqui não se vê à venda ! Economia de tempo enorme.

Looking good. Looks like we are sort of neighbors. We live in Cheria which is close to Mentrestido and just south of vila nova de Cerveira. Anyway, we enjoy your videos and the work you are doing. Your grandparents would be so proud of you Joaquim, but I am sure they were then and are now as they watch from above. What a great job you have done this far! That market was the Valença one right? Is it every Saturday or every 2 weeks? I, like you lived in No. America for decades, but I am now back in PT for good, and living 1 hr outside of Lisbon, but I often go to Cerveira just for the weekend to catch the markets and to reconnect with my roots. They so matter to me, I ❤❤❤ Minho and sooo miss my childhood memories there with family on both sides, many that have since departed, as my paternal side is all FM Ponte de Barca. Miss the good old days. Blessings going your way, and keep up the great work.

Thank you. This one was actually in Cerveira, on Saturday. The market in Cerveira has become one of the busiest in the Minho valley. It doesn't hurt that one of the prettiest towns hosts it. Cheers

@@Joaquim_Conde I thought it was !! Cerveira is indeed a huge market; you can find anything, especially Spaniards.A good thing I get there early for parking. V.N de Cerveira, Caminha, Vila Praia d'Ancora ...all along the coast is so beautiful... but then again, all of Minho is.

Grande trabalho Joaquim, parabéns! Será que não é possível enxertar essas cepas de Americano com outras variedades, de mesa por exemplo, moscatel? Sei que há uma variedade em Murça de branco, que é tipo moscatel e julgo que resultaria nessas cepas antigas! Enfim, só mesmo para dar um feedback do seu trabalho, está no bom caminho!
