Looks like a great festival. Not my thing, but the whole look/vibe is awesome. I go to a lot of camping/music festivals. The thing that kept popping into my mind as I watched this is how difficult it must have been to get all suited up in these elaborate outfits while living in a tent. You all look amazing. This was my first WGT and also my first ever goth event. I came all the way from Australia for this. While I have been going to other kinds of festivals for decades and camped. This iis the only one where I stayed in a hotel and I am so glad I did. I am not sure if will go back again but this was the most amazing thing I have ever experienced and I hope my friends will get to experience it too one day.

different. WGT is on many locations and offers more then just concerts. Mera Luna is more a "tradiontional" festival with camping and two big stages - were you stay the entire time at the location. (I like both festivals a lot) :)

This video proves I had really bad luck trying to meet up well-known goths, aside from Centhron (which you couldn't visit because of your baby) and Chrom, I visited the exact same concerts, yet I failed meeting you. In fact you were even standing only a little bit behind me at Rotersand's concert. I would have loved to meet you. But I also failed meeting Black Friday, which can defy more logic, because I have a way different music taste than Black Friday, until I realized Black Friday had a meet and greet at Queen of Darkness. In fact I went shopping at the Agra Halle on Sunday too, but because I already bought a lot at Queen of Darkness the previous day, I skipped that shop the day after.

Oh God, really? I went to both the discount stand and the regular stand of Queen Of Darkness and I didn't notice it. I have to say that I was in a rush when I went to the regular Queen Of Darkness stand on Saturday, as it was 20 up to 30 minutes before the show of Rotersand.

Und es gibt auf dem WGT auch immer mal wieder Style die ich nicht so ansprechend finde. Trotzdem freue ich mich jedes Jahr auf das "Familientreffen" der Schwarzen Szene - und akzeptiere jeden so wie er ist, solange er freundlich ist.

Hi Ciwana. Aktion Butterblume...jetzt wo du es sagst, dann fällt mir euer Lager mit eurer Flagge wieder ein. Ja...wir sind nach Möglichkeit immer am selben Platz...zwischen dem Securitycontainer und den Waschstellen. Nächstes Jahr ist übrigens ein Jubiläum. Unser Camp (Camp Biber), die mit dem drehenden Spanferkel am Weg aus Holland/Chemnitz und die vom Kunst am Brauzaun feiern "gemeinsames" 10-Jähriges Bestehen und da sind wohl einige Aktionen geplant...ihr als weitere treue Nachbarn dürft da wohl einiges mitkriegen... Bierchen? Kein Problem...bin dabei. Ach ja...wenn ich mir so deine Videos betrachte, dann wird man sich dieses Jahr wohl noch auf anderen Festivals sehen...(Wacken, Meraluna, Summerbreeze etc...)? Sollte ich dich erkennen muss das Bierchen wohl nicht bis nächstes Jahr warten. ;-)

Für mich ist das Treffen nix, wenn ich mir vorstelle 150 Euro Ticket. Klar man hat damit alles frei, S-Bahn und Events in Leipzig aber ich höre diese Musik nicht ich bin nur Gothic und höre aber normalen Rock und Blues. mimmiimii...da schlägt die Gothic-Polizei wieder zu. Ich trage im Alltag nur Schwarz, zum Weggehen aber sehr gerne Cyber. Und ich fühle mich der Gothic-Szene zugehörig. Nur weil einem ein Style nicht gefällt, muss man ja nicht ständig drauf rum hacken. Einige Sachen aus dem BDSM Bereich oder Drag gefallen mir auch nicht. Trotzdem finde ich es schön, dass man (normalerweise) auf dem WGT einfach aktzeptiert wird wie man ist.

Ich kann den Ärger schon verstehen. Bei vielen Berichten werden Randgruppen (Cyber/Steampunk/Mittelalter), welche nur noch wenige Berührungspunkte mit der Szene haben, sehr stark in den Mittelpunkt gerückt. Allerdings ist sie keine professionelle Journalistin und zeigt eben einfach ihr WGT aus einer subjektiven Perspektive.
