Woman here, and yes, I irrationally worry that a spider or house centipede will be in the toilet bowl and crawl up...
@voice_of_a_little_lady5 ай бұрын
I got up from using the toilet in my house that doesn't typically have pests and a large spider crawled up from under the toilet seat. I now lift the toilet seat up to check every time I use it. 😬

A friend of mine was dating a girl who decided she might be a lesbian. They agreed that she'd explore that aspect and she realized she was 100% a lesbian. Gotta see if it's for her!

Oh man I have advice! I was in the same boat at 23. The best thing i can say is, whatever you put your time into is what shapes you. The more time you spend in a corporate role, the more you will either resent it or begin to become it. So here's the solution: Work a year, save, take 6 months off. Repeat. I've been doing it since I was that age and I would never go back.

I must be in the wrong industry or state, or both. I don’t know what job you have where you can work for a year and save enough money to take six months off and still pay all your rent and bills, but are they hiring?

I came feom a single-parent house and no fall back money. I stacked my money in my 20s and am so glad I did now that I'm in my 30s. Today, you can do that while working from anywhere. Keep that job, move where you want, & spend free time exploring your other interests.
@malcolmxx20835 ай бұрын
23:26 that is absolutely the move. unless you’re rich, which due to your lofi hip hop career and voice, seems like i think his family has money or at least enough of a backstop where he can do whatever he wants and knows he could always go back home. also i’m a ux designer in tech, our futures are not secure with ai. keep the security while you have it and save up, and do your creative stuff on the side

Disagree about 20s. Us people who didn’t grow up rich had to buckle down and work in our 20s and go to school. 30s are for figuring out who you are and what you want. And 40s are to have fun and let loose.

There was a show on animal planet called Monsters Inside Me. They would reenact real live scenarios of people who had been infected with parasites and all kinds of fish, and worms and bugs, and whatever else can get into the orifices of your body. Made me never wanna swim in a lake again or ever getting into a public Jacuzzi or sauna or one of those rapid water parks.

The first caller def had that gen z, Gary V listening, crypto investing vibe lol. I dont say that in a bad way. Its awesome that kids nowadays are planning for the future and utilzing their built in tech knowledge to land good jobs at an early age. If I were him, I would work for a year or two and stash the cash so that I could take some time off to travel or pursue art or whatever he wants to do. A year goes by quick and if he makes good money, he can save up a reasonable amount. Also, the housing market is atrocious - theres no reason a 23 year old should be looking to buy right now. Second caller seems like a sweetheart. I have a feeling hes going to wait for that girl and its probably not going to end well. That being said, relationships teach you a lot about yourself and what youre willing to compromise for and also the non negotiables. You cant learn those things without having been burned a few times. I think it shows alot about his character that he put his own heartbreak aside to encourage her to do whats best for her because he loves her. If it turns iut that she just has commitment issues and is not a lesbian - it will truly be her loss.

Cole, Might make your bosses happy when you quit to hand them the solution: someone very talented and experienced that can replace you in your web dev and design job… just saying I’m very good 😂 actually idk about the all day meetings , I love freelancing but agencies , as toxic as they can be, are very cushy . And never worked at one in this era of “zoom office” , maybe less toxic. Good luck out there man, they’re right that you’re gonna be fine. Pursue your art, you’ll always be able to get a job and in 20 years you won’t regret sitting at the computer screen all day towing the corporate line but you WOULD maybe regret not pulling the trigger on trying to move to London and live your dream. Pursing your passion is always the answer and you’re SO young! You don’t have to be completely rogue , you find a balance ❤
