hey mega, I was wondering which spec you feel is better for FMP between fire and frost. I am playing FMP with some longtime arena friends as my main comp right now and I normally play frost but I keep seeing fire FMP and I was wondering "What" if anything makes it better or worse than frost in the comp.

Hey bud, Fire lends itself nicely to a feral partner because both these dps classes "ramp up". You know what I mean? If you play with a Rogue, that guy wants to dance bomb and spam 8 ambushes, and then he's useless and runs away for a minute. Feral though, they like to take their time building up bleeds, getting procs to cyclone, etc. It's very rythmic and consistent. I think Fire Mage is like this too - building up pyros over time, getting positioning to get a big CC, etc. If you do not do a "go" when your rogue dances, that's IT. You just fucked up and need to wait 1min more for next dance. With a Feral, the pressure is constant, which is nice because you cannot demand damage as Fire without ample time to set up (unless you're Mageiden or some god). So, Feral and Fire both build consistent pressure, and the mage can casually choose the best time to Combust. This gives the comp a natural flow as both players build up their CC, their damage, and execute. Honestly, play whatever feels best and gives you more smiles at the end of the day when playing with your friends. Frost does pick up significantly in power if you are getting a legendary staff - making their burst so good it might overshadow the consistent damage of fire.

What gear, talents and glyphs are you running? You doing haste or crit build right now?
@MegaphoneTV3 ай бұрын
Nobody runs any haste of any kind in s9, even with a lock/sham team, hitting the 15% "pvp feasible haste" breakpoint takes too much from other stats. So it's crit all the way right now. S10 it's much easier to hit 12.5 and 15% haste breakpoints cause of gear like staff and offpieces, we'll see! As fire how do you like FMP compared to MLS or RMP?
@MegaphoneTV4 ай бұрын
@@matts7125 hmm. This is what the order feels like to me. MLS and FMP are insanely strong into different things MLS >= FMP > Godcomp = RMP

Is Cata alive? I feel there are so few ppl playing it. Tired of looking for mates for arena(
@MegaphoneTV4 ай бұрын
It's doing alright but there's definitely a player drop-off now that we're a few months in and TWW is out. It's hard to find people for 3s when you used to just find a bud and queue 2s in wrath. There's still decent queues at most ratings, last week should be real competitive on the ladder.

Age old question: wrath or cata? for you personally.
@MegaphoneTV4 ай бұрын
@kevinneparidze3973 I think cata 3s and combat/time to kill feel very nice in cata. Mage is also super strong and it feels nice doing real damage. Wrath was special though. I wish I made a shadow priest / mage series too.
@kevinneparidze39734 ай бұрын
@@MegaphoneTV yeah 3s for sure, but for 2s wrath all the way imo. I find wrath frost mage so much more fun to play, even if it’s not as strong as in cata.

@kevinneparidze3973 yeah wrath 2s was iconic and had a massive player count. Can't deny it
