This event hasn't stirred my enthusiasm yet. I see what they're trying to do, but its just not hitting any notes for me. Winning big test series just seems 10x more important than this token tournament format final. Maybe it needs tradition, however I can't recall any memorable WTC final moments so far.

I understand we are missing Kohli and Shami, but why does everyone make a big deal about KL Rahul. Kl Rahul choked in that last innings in the 1st test, choked vs Aus in the final, 60 in 100 balls. People like him and overhyped SKY, should be kept as far from the team as possible. KL Rahul would've never completed that tricky chase in Ranchi, that Gill and Jurel did.

I fully expect Green to open this summer versus India. Leave Smith alone - 30 + hundreds, average of 57. Let him do what he wants, he’s earned it. Time and time again, he delivers on the most hostile pitches (v SA in Hobart, remember that?), and it has nothing to do with technique. He’s not had a technique throughout his career. As an Indian, I’m very happy with this win which papers over the cracks. Very interesting to see this batting unit against the Indian bowling attack. Aussies need not worry though, they’ve got the GOAT, captain cool Cummins. He will be the difference between the teams, gets the best opposition batter out consistently & will score crucial runs down the order.

Simple thing about Johnny is he isng good in spinning conditions, Dont confuse playing spin with Spinning conditions. Both are completely different. Also i think in these conditions, he is a ceiling on the number of balls he can play per innings, 40 to 50 max on a good day. score a 60 or 10 in those. But yeah moving or bouncier he is good.
