I've recently gone vegan and I absolutely love the way you work and live your life. These street interviews are fantastic, so approachable, respectful and well informed, but I have one question just out if interest (and future reference if someone ever asks me). You told that one man that no one consuming a diet with enough calories has ever had a protein deficiency disease, yet we have been repeatedly taught at school and university (not to say that they are right!) that kwashiokor for example, often targets people who eat large volumes of starchy foods (which may meet calorie requirements if you discount the individual elements needed in a healthy balanced diet). This is with kwashiorkor being defined as protein deficiency with adequate energy as opposed to marasmus for example which is inadequate energy intake in all forms, including protein. Is that not true?

Farmers talk the same like slave masters." Uncle Tom ""I would rather not sell him," said Mr. Shelby, thoughtfully; "the fact is, sir, I'm a humane man, and I hate to take the boy from his mother, sir." "O, you do? - La! Yes - something of that ar ature. I understand, perfectly. It is mighty onpleasant getting on with women, sometimes, I al'ays hates these yer screechin,' screamin' times. They are mighty onpleasant; but, as I manages business, I generally avoids 'em, sir. Now, what if you get the girl off for a day, or a week, or so; then the thing's done quietly, - all over before she comes home. Your wife might get her some ear-rings, or a new gown, or some such truck, to make up with her." "I'm afraid not." "Lor bless ye, yes! These critters ain't like white folks, you know; they gets over things, only manage right." (1.41-44) Mr. Haley expresses a common 19th century racist belief that blacks don’t feel the way whites do about things like family and freedom. According to this bigoted line of thinking, blacks feel differently and less intensely than whites. In this case, Stowe disagrees with the prevailing social opinion that your race affects your ability to feel. The division of any family, black or white, or pig chicken or dogs or one other animal will always cause deep suffering. Stowe only not acknowledged that this capacity to suffering it's not a hominine Pacific trait and that this in reality is by any specie the same." " The farmers order the Mordern day slave traders There talk the same way," The same lies the same propaganda The same lame ass excuses." If you are not the victim, don't examine it entirely from your point of view because when YOU'RE not the victim, it becomes pretty easy to rationalize and excuse cruelty, injustice, inequality, slavery, and even murder. But when you're the victim, things look a lot differently from that angle.
