Listen and learn from our new illustrasted dvar Torah study by Rabbi Isaac on parashah Shemini, meaning “Eighth” in Hebrew. This is the 26th weekly Torah portion covering Leviticus 9:1-11:47 referring to the 8th day on which Aaron and his sons were inducted as the priests of the Sanctuary after seven days of consecration and focuses on the Priests and what is considered clean animals versus unclean. From this Parshah of Shemini we derive 17 new mitzvot.
Each year we study and understand Torah on a deeper level and we hope this deeper teaching blesses you with deeper insights and spiritual growth for today!

Wow! Where do I begin? Tears roll down my cheeks as I begin to understand and deconstruct my ignorance about my diet. I was totally ignorant about them. I see how culture, tradition and poverty has played a role in my diet. Please keep me in your prayers as I begin the journey of applying the new acquired knowledge and deep understanding behind the teachings of clean and unclean food. I know it is not going to be easy but I will persevere out my love to God.

Listening to this Torah portion has been very in lightening especially as concerning the dietary Torah. It naw proven that Elohim’s Torah was never done away with but rather has been transformed from a written or physical fulfillment of the Torah to a spiritual led fulfillment through the Ruach HaKodesh in Yeshua the living Torah of the written Torah. Thanks be to our YHVH our all existing loving Father. Hallelujah and amen!

This was by far the Most Informative Torah Reading I've Ever Heard. Great explanation of the laws. But I wanted to ask about priests who take the Natzarim vow and long hair? Could they Not be priests because of the vow? I look forward your response.
@AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers
@AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers 2 жыл бұрын
Unlike the Levite Priests who were born into lifelong service to God, the vow of the Nazir actually EXCLUDED Levites from taking the Nazir vow as they were born into their role, and had no necessity for conviction. Whereas the Nazirim were volunteers who took a vow that “All the days of his separation he is holy to the Lord” (Numbers 6:8)... which usually was only for a period of 30 to 60 days.

Great teaching! One correction if I heard you correctly you said horses chew their cud in fact they do not.
@AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers
@AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you kindly... what I meant is that people could mistake animals that only have one of the two traits necessary to be considered clean as camels and horses demonstrate the same rhythmic chewing movements seen in clean ruminants when they chew their cud but are still unclean because they do not have a cleft hoof.
@cinchitup42
@cinchitup42 2 жыл бұрын
@@AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers ruminants have a totally different digestive system than horses so it is not just a matter of rhythmic chewing that classifies ruminants. Chewing the cud is a whole different deal. Horses definitely are unclean because they do not qualify on the split hoof or chewing the cud. Shalom and blessings!

Ducks are kosher? A Torah teacher said it wasn't? I am confused.
@AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers
@AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers 2 жыл бұрын
Instead of providing guidelines about which edible birds are kosher and which aren’t, Leviticus 11:13-19 simply lists 24 birds that aren’t kosher, leaving observant Jews to assume that any birds not on the list are OK to eat. That list according to Scripture is as follows: 13 “‘These are the birds you are to regard as unclean and not eat because they are unclean: the eagle, the vulture, the black vulture, 14 the red kite, any kind of black kite, 15 any kind of raven, 16 the horned owl, the screech owl, the gull, any kind of hawk, 17 the little owl, the cormorant, the great owl, 18 the white owl, the desert owl, the osprey, 19 the stork, any kind of heron, the hoopoe and the bat.” Thus duck is considered kosher.

Pastor Issac, I have been led to repent of eating unclean foods by the Ruach HaKodesh and understand that sin is transgression of Torah. However, in light of this, I am confused by reading Yeshuas words in Mark chapter 7. I was hoping you could offer some clarity. Thank you Mark 7:14-23 CJB Then Yeshua called the people to him again and said, “Listen to me, all of you, and understand this! 15 There is nothing outside a person which, by going into him, can make him unclean. Rather, it is the things that come out of a person which make a person unclean!” 16 [d] 17 When he had left the people and entered the house, his talmidim asked him about the parable. 18 He replied to them, “So you too are without understanding? Don’t you see that nothing going into a person from outside can make him unclean? 19 For it doesn’t go into his heart but into his stomach, and it passes out into the latrine.” (Thus he declared all foods ritually clean.) 20 “It is what comes out of a person,” he went on, “that makes him unclean. 21 For from within, out of a person’s heart, come forth wicked thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, 22 greed, malice, deceit, indecency, envy, slander, arrogance, foolishness…. 23 All these wicked things come from within, and they make a person unclean.”
@AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers
@AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers Жыл бұрын
Just know that no matter what the NT says Yeshua would never go against the Torah. We have found many additions in the NT that were added by the RCC translators that were not in the original manuscripts such as the phrase in Mark where it says (Thus he declared all foods ritually clean.) which is not correct. What Yeshua was trying to convey is that what is on the inside that is most important to keep clean (such as thoughts which if wrong lead to sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, indecency, envy, slander, arrogance, and foolishness) and if left unchecked can make a person permanently unclean whereas accidentally touching an unclean carcass or ingesting unclean things only make a person unclean until they wash and then in the evening they can be pronounced clean again.

@@Dee10184 When Rabbi Shaul said that all Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for doctrine and instruction in righteousness" he was speaking of the TaNaKh (or OT consisting of the Torah, Prophets and Writings), not the NT which was not in existence and which has been changed (thus it cannot be infallible when changed by man to contradict the Torah) whereas the Torah and Prophets have not changed and thus remain infallible true scripture profitable for all our doctrine.
