It's not that the fish like it when it's raining it's just easier to fish during the rain because they don't get scared of the bait getting dropped into the water because of the drops of rain hitting the water the fish do not notice that bait has dropped into the water all they see is look it's raining oh food. Which makes it easier to catch fish during rain season

My way of not getting bored in Minecraft is traveling through the nether to buiild a portal at a random spot. (without using the nether roof). Just take some time preparing: tools, armor, food, sword, bow and arrows, some others and just go explore, see what loot you can find.

I made a stripped oak forest once but covered the trees in buttons so that it looked like knots in the wood.

You could also go out and replace the tree logs with it's corresponding planks (Oak wood > Oak plank: Birch wood > Birch planks etc.)

I know right now one of the things I am currently doing which is SO FUN! Is making my house out of a mob! I'm doing it in peaceful while i gather materials and it's so so fun, I recommend making mob houses if you're bored of the typical base :D Btw, it's a sniffer house

You could still do it in easy/normal/hard mode. Peaceful itself is on thing about minecraft that would make it incredibly boring. I guess that's why you need to do fun stuff to keep boredom at bay. Bro/Sis, I recommend playing easy/normal/hard modes instead. Itl be all a lot more worth it when you understand that everything done was hard earned. 🎉
