Memories are calling me... back to my home, back to my people, back to where I grew up - Jamana Paar - Laxmi Nagar, Delhi.
This is an emotional trip down memory lane - Delhi, 92. Babal Di (Anamika Samar), Meenu Di (Meenakshi Manna) & I are walking through the same lanes again, reliving all that we left behind.
Meeting Verghese Uncle & Aunty in the same home of Laxmi Nagar PP1 & PP2, to realize that everything may have changed - the roads may have become narrower, the buildings may have replaced our homes but what remains unchanged is the LOVE.
I am sharing a piece of my heart with you, sharing what I have never shared with the world before.
I hope this connects with you and that the memories you have stored somewhere in your heart, come back to you.

The joy & emotions in you all's faces reminded me of my best highlight moment of 2022, when I visited our native place with my dadi in May & we somehow managed to contact & reunite her with her best friend after nearly 50 years! The short time for which they were together that day knowing this could very realistically be their last meeting, cherishing every second, feeding each other, I will never forget that in my entire life even if I forget everything else as that was the day I realised the importance of people; GOOD PEOPLE in life!

I lived in Rajghat in the 60s n would often walk with friends to the lone bridge on yamuna river both ways... sometimes towards kaudiya pul n sometimes the bridge which crossed from ITO towards Geeta colony. Vast expanse of fields on the relatively clean Yamuna. Many hutments where we often visited old friends. The Asian games indoor stadium and the iconic DDA multi story building just across school of planning had been built while we used to walk from home in Rajghat to our school near ITO Andhra education school which still stands today albeit in its changed Avatar. The ring road had few vehicles...the big swathe of land in front of ring road and near the bridge was full of tall bamboo trees....nostalgic Delhi where we grew. A beautiful story of yore bringing back those days in this story. Love you Sir.

Hi Aashishji... Today not only you travelled down the memory lane... But also took me with you.. I lived in Kaushambi opp to Anand Vihar ISBT during 1997-2002...and studied in Preet Vihar, Vivek Vihar etc... Our relatives lived in Dilshad garden... Always Laxmi nagar was the place to hang out with friends and cousins... During diwali, the big chunk of purchase used to be from laxmi nagar market... And after that eating pani puri and variety of chats from that famous chat shop in the main gully of laxmi nagar (forgot it's name)... Amazing days.. Amazing memories... Thanks a lot sirji for refreshing them once again
