Jinx would've won either way, I love Detox but she just wasn't that much creative doing lipsyncs lol and Jinx had a better track record so far, regardless of the song. the producers just chose a better song for the show (and it was a better song, it's now one of the most known lipsyncs)

Re: Krystal v Hungry - one of the things I learned when I trained as an MUA many years ago was “pretty much anything you think of, someone’s already done” 😂👌🏻 and it’s true. You think you’ve thought of a totally unique concept, but there’s always going to be something very similar. It’s the same with anything creative; music, fashion, movies, dance etc. How many times have you ever said “this invention would be amazing” only to find out it already exists? 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ Yes, it’s possible she was inspired by Hungry… but it’s also possible there are a bunch of other artists who have similar looks and they might have inspired Krystal - not Hungry specifically. The point I’m making is it’s very difficult to prove you’re unique and no one else thought of it before you. I always believe in crediting, but very often, people have the same ideas.

We don’t know for certain that they changed the song for Jinkx. In the Joseph Shepherd interview Detox says she thinks they changed it for her, but she doesn’t know for sure, and in Joseph’s later interview with Jinkx she corroborates Detox’s story but added that she wanted the win so bad she’d have beaten Detox regardless of the song. Plus Detox had already landed in the bottom twice, while it was J’s first slip up.

From what I've heard the show deliberately casts queens to go home early and some for later in the season but their exact placements are based on performance. I know Michelle Visage at least has confirmed that each season they're looking for a certain kind of queen to be the winner so the season itself is filmed with at least a couple of the contestants in mind.

I agree. Scripted means they are told exactly what to say, word for word 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ they’re prompted. It’s up to you whether you follow the prompts (but if you don’t, you’re likely to be booted off lol). They need to make sure there’s no “dead air” so they suggest topics and talking points, but they also stir up the drama. It’s not accurate to say that’s scripted. We’ve seen how some of these girls forget their lines in acting challenges - they can’t remember a whole show’s script 😂😂😂😂

In All Stars 7 they also added Rupaul's Voice at the finale. In the start of the season Rupaul Said that the winner was going to be decided by the lipsync. However in the final episode we can hear only his Voice saying "based on the lipsync and your progresso through the season". It could explain why they also highly edited the final lipsync between Monet and Jinkx just to hide the fact Monet beat Jinkx

I remember watching the Lip sync between Detox and Jinx on KZbin. In the comments someone named 'Detox' said the song was changed at the last minute and said the song was suppose to be, Candy Shop, which makes sense since that week the challenge was about candy. But a little while later the comment was removed. Was this really Detox? I don't know but at the time I thought it pretty interesting the comment was removed.

I stopped watching Drag Race after season 10 because I was so uncomfortable with how The Vixen was edited. I didn't follow queens outside the show that closely back then and I'm wholly ignorant now, so I have no idea where any of these people stand in terms of real life behavior. But to this day the edit left a bad taste in my mouth so bad I've only come back to watching videos like this one in the past couple weeks.

Tbh I love that queens get on jinx for the lip sync change this episode when production was literally instructed to let Roxxy win the crown as a whole by Absolute vodka.
