What a great video! Thank you for sharing your wisdom. I used your approach on an ukulele with fantastic results. Thank you, also, for all the many great videos you so generously create and share. I have learned a lot from you.

This video came at a good time. I am at this point in my second build. My first's wedge was a little off. Thank you for posting this.

Thanks Eric, great video! Just getting ready to do an end wedge on my first guitar build. This has helped out a lot & has given me confidence that I can do it..... :) Steve

mmm... I'm surprised you actually leave that area where the wedge goes so rough... I understand it's not crucial structurally or sonically, but it doesn't seem to make full surface contact with the smooth wedge. Why not take a small file and smoothen it out?

Is there a way to do tis with the top and back already glued on?

Yes and I do it with the top and back glued on most of the time now in the workshops. Here is a picture from the October workshop that kind of demonstrate the way to one might set that up: www.ericschaeferguitars.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/P1150600.jpg

That's what I thought - I would have placed the guide block on the outside of the line so that if I did slip out it would be into the waste area...
