27-yr-old high-pruned Blue Gum felling

Our 27-yr-old Blue Gum (Eucalyptus globulus). High pruned to 6.5m. Diameter 86cm (at 1.3m). Debarked pruned log (5.8m long) has a volume of 2.2cubic metres.
We'll be milling this one for hardwood structural beams. Expecting over 1m3 of F17 KD structural hardwood worth more than $2000.

Rowan what an excellent example of farm-grown high-value hardwood production. Always makes me wonder why we are not growing more eucalyptus plantations for sawlogs.
