This was a great question I was asked on Instagram recently. So we put a video together to answer it for everyone.

You did triathlon? Wow. Mad respect! Hope you get back to doing it in the best way you can! I wasn’t a super sporty person before loosing my leg, so I do find it tough to be motivated to exercise. However, I have been told by my doctors that it would be good for me to get a gym pas or an indoor pool pass. I did get to try adaptive downhill skiing ⛷️ this week and that was a very incredible experience! It was very tough though to ski on my right leg and with these poles with slippery skis 🎿 on them. I have a lot of work to do in regard to my balance. Anyway, very cool to see your at home gym! I would love to get a stationary bike for our new home as soon as we get moved. My amputee friends have said that bike ridding is an amazing way to help you get in time with a prosthetic leg without as much pressure on your residual limb. We are in the process of selling our current home at the moment though.

Hahah! Thanks! I loved the variety of triathlon- no time to get bored! But skiing.. omg there’s no way I would try that.. BIG RESPECT! With exercise it’s a case of finding something you enjoy. And for me it has always been triathlon and I have spent many years trying to figure out how to make that work for me again in a way that is meaningful for me. It is possible to hire stationery bikes here short term.. that sort of thing is worth thinking about when you’re looking for the right thing. Good luck with the house sale 🤞🏻
