Hanks shawl is gorgeous!! The 3D pattern is also a tutorial from Fiber Spider. Ive never tried the MM yarns but ive been trying to save for a ICE yarn order. Im working on my charity blankets, hats and scarfs. Im proud to say that since 2019 ive donated 70 blankets. (Most of my yarn is donated by my community). Happy New Year!!

Hi Gary, I am happy that I found someone who has actually purchased from Mary Maxim in Canada. I was looking into their afghan kits for the future and was wondering about all the add on fees… thank you for clearing this up for me! I usually for the blues and reds and lately I have been splurging on Arcane Fibre works and Les Garçons yarns. They are both wonderful to work with, but I find them a bit pricey, so definitely splurging…

I was almost tempted to purchase the Magic Circles Afghan Kit. Then decided to purchase the pattern from Ravelry and make my own kit from stash.

The shawl and scarf are very pretty. Recently I bought both of those yarns and like them. I was able to buy them on sale. That aqua yarn is very pretty I don'r have that colorway but I did recently make the Woodbury castle shawl pattern from Ophelia talks crochet with the Bonbon Ince rust colored yarn it came out very nice. I also crochet loosely and the yarn did not split on me. I show the finished shawl on my channel in the Nov '24 finished project (completed hats for donation....) video from a month ago. 😊❤ I celebrate the Winter Solstice and Yule. I’m currently making a blanket with the BonBon Ince…I love working with it. I’m using a 5.5 mm hook. Lots of drape with a wave stitch. I haven’t run into much splitting. 😊

Hobium has a wonderful dk yarn called ince (means thin in Turkish--i think). It is spun with round fibers giving it an almost bumpy finish. It is not hairy and works up beautifully. A little different than the bonbon brand. Excited for your next blanket!!
