India haven't been nearly as prolific with the batting as a collective for at least 3-4 years now in comparison to the batting at home from 2012 (the prior series loss) to 2019. India have relied on an individual knock be it Pant or Jaiswal or Rohit. Don't forget there was the 2021 series in England where at points India could've lost the game but a lower order contribution changed things. India were nigh on impregnable because of batting depth and two elite spinners. Once those two malfunctioned together, it made India a far more human team in their conditions. Also Indian batsman aren't great players of spin on turning pitches. Most barely use their feet like the great players such as Clarke, Dravid, Lara, Sachin etc. They don't play the sweep either and not well either.
