This Fifth Wheel focuses on a large bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom has a 48 x 30” shower with a seat and lots of countertop space with the vanity. I heard a different way to explain payload vs towing. Put a backpack loaded with bricks on your back and walk with it. It’s not easy to go very far. That’s payload weight in your truck bed. Now put that same backpack in a wagon. It’s pretty easy to pull now. That’s towing.

@@RVswithGabby we have a host with 3 slides. It’s perfect for our needs. We can’t wait to take it to Alaska and just pull into a spot along the side of the road. We have solar and are all set up for boondocking which is our favorite way to live! We spend the winter in Arizona. Sunday we start heading north to Montana.

We just picked up our 2023 KZ Sportsmen fifth wheel at 24’10” with slide out and walk around queen bed. Idle Time makes a 19’ and 21’ Fifth wheel. Fiberglass Escape 5.0 is 21’ and Scamp is 19’ fifth wheel. Used to own a Northwood Nash 21-R which there are still some used ones out there.

Love the smaller fifth wheel, we got burnt out on the big ones, we purchased a 1992 wilderness 17’ fifth wheel, we found that in a small space we are much more efficient campers, pulls easy with our Silverado 1500

The 2022 and up “should” be able to,you can add airbags to your truck to help,they are around $2000 for a auto shop to put on,mine are getting installed next week to help with truck bed squatting

Absolutely NOT! They promote many of these 5th wheels as 1/2 ton towable. Please Do Not Believe these sales(wo)men. Many know nothing about towing. You can add springs, air bags, bump stops and anything else you can think of and it still is a 1/2 ton frame. 1/2 ton frames, axles, wheel bearings , tires and brakes are NOT made to tow and especially stop these size RV’s. This RV is 9000 lbs pushing that truck during stopping. Never go over 75% of a vehicle’s max cargo capacity , tongue weight or tow capacity. Let me rephrase my first response, Yes! a 1/2 ton can “pull this”; across a parking lot. A Toyota Tacoma could probably “pull this” too. This camper has a max weight of over 9000 lbs.x 20% = pin weight of 1800 lbs + 350 passengers,+ 200 hitch + 100 lbs junk in truck/bed = 2450 lbs cargo weight. No Tundra (or 1/2 ton) can support that cargo weight. That 1800 lbs pin weight is the camper sitting still. That pin bouncing up and down going down the road can quickly become 2000-3000 lbs of force (called physics) going down through hitch, frame, axles, etc. The pin is similar to a jack hammer, all that force going down through one small point compared to the size of the RV. Do you remember the radio personality, Paul Harvey from the 60’s & 70’s,? He had a segment called “The Rest of the Story”. Well the rest of the story with RV salesmen is they don’t give you all the facts, starting with empty weights of an RV and pin/tongue weight when RV is sitting still. Who tows an empty RV? No one! Towing is more than “pulling”. It is chucking, sway, wind sheer, pushing the tow vehicle during stops, hitch friction, tire friction on road, brake/tire stopping ability, etc… These sales(wo)men need to take a physics class.

@@RVswithGabby It does not matter what year it is. The Tundra has a max cargo capacity of around 1750 lbs. This camper has 1800 lbs of pin weight before you add 2 passengers, hitch and tools/etc stored in cab/bed. Considering you should never go over 75% of a vehicle’s max cargo capacity (1750x75%=1312#’s for a Tundra) or tow capacity or tongue weight. This RV is waaaaaay over before the driver hops in to drive away. Engine size and bed size? Really? There is more to towing than a sticker on a door jamb. ALWAYS have more tow vehicle than you need.

@@Scottytremaine Nope! Air bags ,shocks, springs, bump stops do not increase the strength of a 1/2 ton or any vehicle. It’s still a half-ton frame. Not made to constantly take this amount of weight bouncing up/down on it. Half-tons are made for a wider audience with softer springs, lighter brakes , lighter axles and softer tires. Actually, the more things (weight) you add to it to try to make it tow more, the lower amount you can tow.

hey Gabby, How are you doing? I was very intrigued, when seeing your video, to click on it, and check it out. just some constructive Thoughts. ( going Over The Exterior, You Really Didn't. As far as all the features of the exterior. and even as I'm Typing This, I Stopped the video to try to to give some points as a perspective RV First Time buyer. going through the interior, Basically no Specifics On The Microwave, Convection, or just a plain microwave. the Refrigerator, What Type/Size? How is it powered? Solar, 12 amp What? Just Things That would be great for customers to know. What Ever Your Platform may be. You Have Great Energy in this video and I have to say, this is the first video I've watched on your platform, so I'm only speaking on this one video, as a potential customer.

Definitely not the shortest 5th wheel. There are others below 28 feet. Quick search will show you some others. Not to mention Bigfoot and Escape which are just shy of over 20 feet. Now those are tiny.
