I'm just being a know-it-all in your comments here, lol. But some advice from a motorsports photographer: when using a long lens and shooting slow shutter speeds, try to break the habit of holding the tripod mount and hold the lens from the farthest end from you. I learned that from car culture photography legend Larry Chen and some nat geo photographers. They also tend to hold it from the top rather than supporting it from the bottom, maybe that's more useful when using a monopod though. I hope you know that I'm only bringing these things up because you're already so good and I think you could be closer to perfect.

Larry Chen is the man I love his work. Thanks for reaching out man i appreciate it. I’m gonna have to try it out and now that mention it I remember seeing Larry use his camera like that. I’m gonna have to give it a shot.

@PhotoTripps23 hey, thanks for not taking me the wrong way with the comments. I didn't wanna be just handing out unsolicited advice when I know that you're more talented than I am. At least I'm not afraid to push you to being even more better than me, lol.

Great shots as always! Being in NY and not shooting photos of buildings is like being in Athens and not eating souvlaki! 😋Buildings are part of the streets!

I’ve just taken to watching all your videos. I stayed at The Standard over the Highline a couple years ago before I really got into photography and I had a full view of the Hudson. I need to go back now that I have an A7IV and the 24-70 and 70-200 f2.8 GMII. You frame your photos really well and then you really have a great way of editing. You make potentially mundane scenes look really artistic.

You got a kick ass setup you definitely gotta that to the city to grab some sweet shots. It’s hard to capture great moments all the time but editing can almost turn any picture into a beautiful piece

@@PhotoTripps23 yes I’m really happy with the setup! I also picked up the Viltrox 16mm f1.8 for the other end of the focal length spectrum. That lens is a bargain ($550) for what it is. I’m definitely looking to visit NYC again soon. My main bread and butter is drone photos and video, but NYC doesn’t allow them (unless you’re Casey Neistat). :-(

@@ShapeGSX yeah I’ve put up my DJI mini up in the city a couple times but it’s always sketchy. I would like to invest in a nice drone at some point

Great POV video as always... Do you use an external mic for your POV camera? Appreciate any assistance.

I actually just use the built in mic on the GoPro. I’ve never invested in an external mic for my pov setup. Surprisingly the quality is solid

Can the gopro shoot in 30fps? If so, switch to that for nighttime as it will lower the shutter speed and thus the iso.
@PhotoTripps237 ай бұрын
Yeah it does and usually I shoot my GoPro like that, sometimes I forget to switch it up While shootin
