I used the Morgan (the only horse I could afford during that mission with Hosea) until Chapter 4 because I never knew those expensive horses could be obtained for free. Now I'm using a Fox Trotter, which I got for free through a glitch, but almost at the end of Chapter 6, even when I knew about it in Chapter 3. I never wanted to go to the mountains for the White Arabian, pay too much for a horse, or make a disturbance to steal a horse from the stable. Honestly, even with 13,000 dollars with Arthur, I won't pay 600 or 700 dollars for a horse. And that price is with that 50% discount.

Yeah you can I've just done it, you can choose the turko or the black Arabian or some other horse, but... once you've got the horse you can't actually put a saddle on him, I took him back to the ranch and tried saddling him up and cant do it, it's still my horse tho and can ride him but can't put saddle on him so I've just got him looking pretty sitting at beechers hope 😄
