I too have the heart of a collector. Each has a story to tell of the place, the day and the people I was with. You are right about some recipes. When I take my baked beans to a gathering, not a bean is left in the dish! It may be silly pride but I love it Pat you are a shining star. Be blessed.

Granny Pat, @29:29, when you told the story of your little 7-year-old son buying the salt and pepper shakers for your birthday present, I was in tears! So precious. I'm sure he is a wonderful man today! Also, @40:44, the kitchen gadget you are using instead of a blender is called an "immersion blender." Love your collection stories. Thank you so much!

You are an amazing lady! I just discovered your channel today, I don’t know why it came across my view but I am glad it did. I really admire you that you are making videos like this for KZbin. Good for you! The videos are very down to earth, cute, fascinating and interesting. I showed your video of the Christmas decorations to my mother , she is 86, but is technology challenged 😮 …she enjoyed it very much. Well I live in Florida, are you in GA by Chance ? Well anyway, thank you for taking the time to make these videos and sharing with the world your little slice of beautiful life. We need more people like you in this world today. God Bless you ! Brian PS, I think the Good Lord knew you wanted that lid and he put it in your path! 😊. I also am old enough to remember the milkman and the glass bottles and my mother even has the very glass jars in her collection. I am 59 😮

Granny Pat, I just had to watch this video and and I noticed you used Mrs Butterworth’s maple syrup in your recipe! I grew up on that syrup and to this day it’s the only one I buy. Even my adult children use only it, because we all think it’s the best tasting! I was sad when they discontinued the brown glass molded bottles and went to clear plastic. The old ones have apparently grown in popularity and value, as I see them every so often at antique shops and flea markets. Oh my, I lost count of how many of those I threw away over the years!! ❤️

This look’s SO good! I’m definitely going to make this! I kept your cornbread dressing in my mind for day’s up until Thanksgiving! And I wanted to try the Cornbread in it but didn’t have the time (I’m a bit of a procrastinator.) but I did everything else and I toasted my bread light. That was soooo much easier than waiting a day for my bread to harden lol. I also used the Pepperidge farm bag of cornbread stuffing. It turned out so good! I added one can of cream of chicken soup in it along with all of the chicken broth. That was the best dressing I’ve ever made. ❤

I have been looking for a Dutch oven like that. One for grandchild and a lightweight one for me. I can’t lift now, but was just sure someone would have invented one that wasn’t cast iron. Well, yay! thank you Amazon. About $40 dollars. That’s a lot but it’s aluminum, much lighter. And grandchild can handle cast iron so she may get thrift store model if she can get me out to shop. If not, I’ll have to just find one online. (She tries to help me get out, I’m just not well so often.)
