I have always been a lover of musicals and originally thought "Well hey, it may be religious but let me just listen anyway even if I think Christianity is silly" This particular song and "Are You Willing" really stuck with me and became a constant listen. During this time I was drowning my sorrows in cannabis and whiskey, smoking weed everyday for 3 years prior and getting to the point of finishing a full bottle of Jack Daniels and 6-10 beers in one night, 3-4 days a week. I hit a desperate point and asked my brother to pray for me as I thought "Well even if I don't believe I need all the help I can get", a few days later after another drunken stupor I was on my knees sobbing in prayer in desperation as my yearning was getting stronger weekly. I didn't ask for anything but help and strength to beat this, I didn't want signs or confirmation just help. I used to think about drinking and especially weed 24/7, the next morning I had no yearning for either. I haven't smoked since then, I did have setbacks with alcohol but am now 2 months sober. I am learning more by the day and have given my life to christ, I sinned with lust and much more constantly but my heart has sincerely changed. I thank you for your hard work, I don't think I would have gotten to this point without these songs. Thank you so much.

I woke up from a bad dream and horrible feelings... And something like Fear.. and parts of this song came to me. And I searched and I found this song. It confirmed that God still was there... No matter how much I failed... Thank you. ❤️🩹

Father: Jesus, you call yourself a rabbi May we ask your wisdom on a matter of the law? YHWH: Of course Official 1: This woman, this Harlot Was caught in adultery, in the very act Father: The law clearly states she is to be stoned to death Official 1: What do you say? YHWH: What do I say? Ashra Ashra: Who are you? How do you know my name? YHWH: You don't recognize me? Ashra: No YHWH: You've been running for so long I wish you would've looked back and saw I wasn't chasing with the ropes and chains to Lock you up, and put you in a cage I was there with open arms I was ready to hold you and heal you- Ashra: Wait How did you know I needed healing? YHWH: 'Cause I feel your pain Pain weighing down the heart in My chest Soon that weight will lift And you will rest You don't need to free yourself I'll free you If you just Come to Me Come to Me Come to Me Come to Me Come to Me Come to Me Ashra: Yahweh? YHWH: I'm sure you're surprised That I'd show my face here But I couldn't stay there While they take your life Your life has brought pain, dear Your pain needs a savior So I'll be your light I heard when you cried and you offered your life If I'd just provide Food for your mouth While your soul starved and died Ashra when I looked down from my heavenly seat Our eyes met and my heart skipped a beat You were looking for a light But that light was Me So now I'm here to complete Ashra what your prayed there, your prayers uncertain Safe there, behind My curtain I promise that I heard your cries but I Wanted to talk in person And you ask Me who I am? I'm the One who was there In the deepest, deadest, darkest part of your night I'm the One who was there When Matthias ran scared and left you to fend for your life I'm the One who was there When you cried on the stairs of My house like I left you to die I'm the One who was there When you gave up your prayers and innocence so your baby survived I'm the One who was there When you couldn't bear your sights So you let in the devil to darken your eyes I'm the One who was there When you said you weren't scared of the dark So the dark came inside I'm the One who was there When you asked if I made you to try, and then burn and then die I'm the One who was there In the deepest, deadest, darkest part of your night I'm the One with the light Whoever has never sinned may throw the first stone Ashra: Stones at the ground all around me The sound is astounding I'm finding You found me And crowned me with beauty and honor You've made me a daughter As if you knew me And saw right through me too YHWH: Neither do I condemn you You're free You're free You're free Ashra: I am finally free

I love that Jesus intentionally calls her “Ashra” after they called her a harlot.
