I watched your one month playthrough and decided to get the demo. I just bought the early access version of the game yesterday and played the first season. I should have watched this first! I'm curious about how breeding works. I am curious if breeding the same 2 blobs will give the same looking blob or a new combination of physical features. I also want to figure out how to get new types of blobs like the ones NPCs have since I thought breeding would be the way lol Thank you for explaining the skills! I had a bat but didn't know what ultrasonic would do and didn't want to waste its energy by doing it wrong.

Yay! I'm happy you got the game!!! I've tried breeding two same blobs and it gave the same looking blob with just the same skills. It did get a mutation (sleep resistance) but I think it's more worth it to breed diff blobs. For the new types of blobs like the ones NPCs have, you can get it by battling those blobs in the wild and getting an egg drop. I've been getting a lot of new ones from the blob worlds so far. And the ultrasonic was funny, I literally tried it everywhere (people, blobs, debris, mines, blob world, water) before I figured it out. 🤣

I kept running from wild battles mostly so no surprise that I didn't figure out how to get new ones lol I think that is probably how I got a turtle but completely forgot since I rarely battled! I thought it would be fun to breed the turtle and kiwi to get different looking turtley-kiwis but now I don't need to try 😆 I can imagine running around testing the ultrasonic 😂

Oh if it's a turtle + kiwi then, yes, you can have different looking ones! I tried breeding Loki + a cupid blob twice and got two different looking blobs. I thought you were asking what would happen if you breed a turtle + turtle with the same looks. Mb. 😅

For the breeding, is it actually possible to take a blob with you while it is in breeding mode? I would like to breed a specific one, but also can´t left it behind in the barn for three whole days. So it would be nice to know, if it is enough to have the blob stay there over night with it´s partner or if it has to stay there all the time. Also, what I found out, maybe it is nothing new, but it might help someone: if you save your game the night before the egg is finally produced, you can reload the game, in case the resulting blob doesn´t fit your taste or requirements. Everytime, you quit the game, load it and then go to sleep the resulting blob is different, sometimes with a mutation, sometimes not. Crossed my cow blob with the bunny blob from the egg festival and there were some funny combinations :D

The blob needs to stay inside the barn, unfortunately. Iirc, even moving the blobs to another barn interrupted the breeding process when I tried it before. That is a helpful tip! Thanks! The blob combinations are interesting. 😆
