@David Ng that was 3 years ago. Neither team is the same. The Nuggets have inarguably gotten better, while the Lakers are arguably worse. That was also in the bubble where a 36 year old Lebron didn't have to travel to Denver for a possible 4 games. The Lakers haven't had to play an offense as consistently good as Denver yet in these playoffs. Between the Suns and the Wolves, the Nuggets have already experienced teams with athletic wings and solid rim protection. There's nothing the Lakers are going to show Denver that they haven't already dealt with. Obviously I'm not saying the Lakers can't win, but to compare this post season to 2020 is just lazy. The Nuggets are better now on every level. On top of Joker and Murray both being better on both ends, they've also got good enough personel to slow down the Lakers already inconsistent offense. I'm sure AD is going to get his, but unless Lebron is going to do what he did in game 6 4 times in this series, I don't see it being enough.

KD' signing with Golden State was probably the most uncompetitive free agent decision we've ever seen. Unless he wins without them, his two rings are always going to be heavily scrutinized especially since the Warriors won before AND after he left. Joel has valid points, but if you want to call him a top 20 all-time player, then he has to be held to a higher standard than just strong playoff runs without a ring.

was hating on Joel hard for those blasphemous butler takes earlier in the post season, but i agree brunson is 100% him. he was definitely one of the top 5 playoff performers this season. Butler, Steph, Booker, Jokic, and Brunson. AD too inconsistent and, despite Lebron popping off in Game 7 vs the warriors, he hasn’t had that HIM game yet this post season (which is a testament to how dangerous the lakers actually are lol). Also, we have a good enough sample size to start ranking Brunson in that top players in the playoffs list. He was the reason Mavericks held off against the Jazz last post season while Luka was out and played a HUGE role in upsetting the suns. His stats definitely appear to take a leap in the playoffs just like Butler or any of the other top playoff performers in the last 4 years.

I knew, I just KNEW that they’d barely give Miami any credit for winning the series. It’s about the Knicks “giving it away” or not living up to their regular season performance and that’s the point. Miami has always been a great defensive team, that’s their calling car. Not to mention Butler is arguably the best player in the playoffs, at the very least the best of what’s left. Bam put in his offensive production and maintained his defensive presence. And Drew and Joel mentioned that the Knicks had a lot of no shows but guess what? So did Miami and they don’t even have Oladipo and Herro. Gabe Vincent and Max Strus stunk it up for one or two of those games. I don’t want to hear it about the Knicks or the Bucks or whoever Miami plays if they beat them in the ECF. If you they win it’s because they played better and wanted it more.
