This helped a lot! I actually like the sound of the hd600 more on first listen, but listening all the way through, the hd660s seem more comfortable to listen to for longer periods of time.

Both headphones sound good, but the HD600 has a more natural sound.

You can clearly hear that the 660S has the Sennheiser veil and the HD600 is a lot better in that it doesn't seem to have it to the same degree, i have listened to the 660S and didn't like them because of the veil i noticed when comparing to several other headphones, however i felt that the sound was quite coherent in that the treble didn’t have any nasty peaks but it just lacked presence in the upper registers which made singers have a piece of cloth in their mouths to some degree. The HD600 is neutral and excellent for mixing and mastering but i think for listening pleasure and enjoyment many probably prefers the HD660s as they never cause any ear fatigue

I'm listening on ifi zen stack (zen DAC v2 + zen CAN amp + balanced IC 4.4mm pentaconn) and HD560S with custom cable. Gloss - 600 The Sky - Hallmore - 660S Soaring Higher - Adelyn Paik - 600 State of Dystopia - Of Men And Wolves - 660S Just Got Eyes for You - Ivy-Rose Lyon - 660S Acoustic Ornaments - Codey Randall - 600 Tiger Tracks - Lexica - 660S 8:3 for HD 660S. Depending on the preferred sound signature, the opposite result may come out. To my ear, however, the winner is the HD660s. I like the slightly darker and more spacious sound better.

The 600 seems more mono centric and focused while the 660s adds some dimensionality and not quite as focused.

Awesome demo, that’s what’s up. 660’s all the way for me...a wider, richer, more lively painting of the spectrum...and very well balanced / even the whole way across, at the same time.

Very interesting, though very odd. Almost no difference (as expected), but when I do hear difference, the 660S sounds slightly crisper in the high-mid to higher frequencies. That's weird because the frequency response curves show exactly the opposite between 600 and 660S.

HD660S is actually much better in real life. Higher resolution, more depth, slightly bigger soundstage, faster/deeper bass and MUCH better imaging. The HD600 is good but extremely flat and boring and honestly has a rather poor resolution. You can tell that in this video and even more-so in real life. I've owned both and went with the 660S by a mile. Much better for games too.

@@anatol1204 This test is not too realistic, seems like he just EQ-ed the original song for the headphones sound signature, but didnt use the actual headphones. I have them both and in real life the difference between them is much more prominent. The 660s is much warmer, darker sounding than the 600.

Listening with the HD 600. Don't buy it. Get the 660S. The HD600 is too bright IRL. Long duration listening is a pain. Especially if you listen to more modern recordings.
