Aaron needed to get that off his chest after what Robert said to him cause that really hurt him, but you can tell he still loves Robert. Great acting by Danny once again.

That scene with Aaron and Robert at the hospital was intense to watch. Aaron may have been telling Robert to hurry up and die but his eyes tell a different story. It's understandable he's angry and hurt after everything but he still loves him - the pain and anguish in his face when Robert was lying on the ground bleeding after being shot says it all. To me, this scene is about Aaron trying to find some sense of closure because Robert will always be in his heart and by saying those things, he's attempting to hide his true feelings. Danny Miller's performance was incredible.

Why would Aaron shed a tear? I'm telling you, he loves Robert. I don't think they'll necessarily end up together, but I think the old saying that you can't help who you fall in love with holds true. Aaron said he wasn't going to come see him, but he did, didn't he? The hand on the power cord is a red herring.

My heart just goes out to Aaron. On one hand, I'm sure that he means, or thinks he means, the things he's saying. Robert's put him through so much and he MUST hate him for it. He's finally getting the chance to say what he feels like he should have said ages ago. On the other hand, he's clearly hurting and the love behind those words is still very evident. He's literally being torn in two.

+Meshanda Ellison If you watch the scene closely, Aaron sheds the tear when he says Katie's name. Deep down he probably does love Robert but the guilt and torment inflicted by Robert has taken its toll. There have been so many times that Robert was being absolutely cruel in the way he spoke to Aaron, that I wanted Aaron to smash Roberts face to a pulp...but he didn't. The only 'responsibility' Aaron has in any of this is being manipulated by Robert into helping him cover up what happened to Katie. Aaron wasn't the one cheating...Aaron is single and OUT. Robert is the one 'stuck to the back of the cupboard'...Katie's words. I too live in Canada and LOVE this show. In Soap Land as in real life, we don't choose who we fall in love with... Aaron didn't deserve or need this pariah that is Robert 'Flaming' Sugden turning his life upside down!

+Meshanda Ellison It doesn't matter that Katie was there because Aaron told her to show up. There's no connection between that and her death. He's totally innocent of THAT part of the saga. He's guilty of facilitation/lying about covering up the death. He's guilty of having an affair with someone who, at least in this case, was about to be married. But if you're going to hold him responsible for that then you'd have to hold every character on every soap guilty of that. It's what soaps are made from. He's guilty of having no self esteem and believing Robert when Robert told him he's just as guilty of the accident. He's totally innocent about Katie's death. Totally and completely.

Aaron loved Robert so much but Robert never treated Aaron with any amount of love or compassion because of every thing his done. Seems like karma has come and hit Robert for all the bad things his done. I love the fact how Aaron shed a tear as he spoke about what Robert had done, it just seems like He wants to move on and let Robert go. I wonder what'll happen next. Thanks for the upload!

Aww, isn't it sweet that Aaron is so concerned about the people whose lives Robert "ruined"? Must have missed the fact that he was the one in cahoots with Robert during the Home Farm raid and kept mum about it to Lawrence all this time, he was a willing participant in a long term affair with Chrissie's husband and didn't have any qualms about fucking him in her own bed or revealing the affair in the most sordid way to her, lied to Andy to his face to save himself from going to jail and also lied to Katie during the whole "A" text message fiasco and used her to out Robert. Riiiigh, must have imagined that, cause he sure didn't give a toss about them before. The only person Robert hurt and Aaron had nothing to do with it is poor Paddy, who kept on sticking to Aaron like glue and kept pestering him to give up Robert, yet he still didn''t do it...Don't you just love a bit of good old soap manipulation, make Aaron to be the most victimised, suffering, poor innocent soul to ever grace our screens, poor Aaron who was just a puppet in the hands of "evil" Robert...Yeah, if you say so Emmerdale... :-/

It annoying everyone paints Aaron as some victim. IMO the only true victim really was Chrissie because all she did was marry a man who thought loved her when only really loved her money. Andy and Katie are not exactly innocent in their history with Robert either but push all the blame on him for their bad blood and never took any responsibility Andy gets is the golden boy for some bizarre reason when Robert is the biological son...., Chas and Paddy also judging Robert with their history too is rich and treating Aaron with kid gloves when he willing sleeping with a married man and chose to cover up Katie death, but it all the nasty Robert made me do these things etc. Robert not a nice person but these people are hypocrites acting like their shit doesn't stink.

Aaron's speech was definitely inspired by the awful things Robert has said to him at the scrapyard. because, yes, he has so much hatred and anger towards Robert for hurting the people he love, but he also deeply cares about him. Aaron probably hates himself for still caring about Robert and this was his way of somewhat trying to take control of his emotions.

I think Aaron was reeling from his last confrontation with Robert. In that moment it might have seemed easier to wish he had died than admit despite all the things he'd done he still loved him.

i'm glad that Danny said Robron is only being shelved temporarily because all this verbal abuse is too much. Danny delivered though, i don't know how to explain it but he has such control in the way he delivers that everything is always perfect. Robert too, when he said all those horrible things to Aaron before he got shot even though it breaks my heart their acting is too good.

Revealing his thoughts and emotions to an unconscious Robert?! I guess that's a start ...but I doubt he is going to say that again when Rob wakes up. Wanting him dead is a primitive, survival reaction. It would sure make Aaron's life easier if Robert was not around. He was constantly challenging him, pushing his limits. I like this tougher, "know what I want" attitude from Aaron.

I think this is Part 4 of 4. I like when you indicate how many parts there are. I cringed when Aaron put his hands on the plug, not because I thought he was going to unplug Robert's life support, but because I thought someone else will while wearing latex gloves, and Aaron's fingerprints will be on the plug. But then, if it's simply unplugged, some other part of the system probably sounds an alarm. Aaron has suffered the most at Robert's hands, but someone else shot him. Aaron has more moral stature than anyone else in the village.

And I wouldn't miss him. It almost doesn't matter who shot Robert as long as Aaron keeps showing up to knock the ball out of the park.

+alwaysuseless Yes, for a few reasons. As you said he first wanted to kill Chrissie and since he didn't he'd still want revenge. Second, Emmerdale seems to take a bad situation one step further. They did it with Laurel, Lachlan, and further back with Aaron and then Jackson, and then with John Barton. Also with Ross's "demise." So it wouldn't be a stretch for them to put the gun in Eric's hands. While "they" want us to think it's Lachlan, he's been too cool after the fact, and as a teenager that would be out of character for him. He's always bricked it after something bad happened as a result of his actions. The part I don't get is that Chas said the gun was shot from behind her, but right before it happened i really thought we were looking at the shooter's eye view, which was to her left/Robert's right. Or was that just another thing the writers so brilliantly tossed in there to make everyone look guilty.

+michael7572 That's an impressive list of well considered steps leading to your conclusions. I think you're probably right. Eric, who wasn't on my original list, would be more motivated than Connor (also not on my list) and in a more irrational state of mind. Also, Lachlan's actions may suggest guilt to some, but in light of his usual post-blunder behaviors, actually suggests the opposite. The show has consistently made him the "puppy no one likes" despite the fact that everyone loves puppies. He's always been unlovably immature (except to Chrissie). Yes, the way it was filmed suggested Robert & Chas were facing the shooter, although they couldn't see him or her.

Lachlan is so selfish. He has everything a kid would ever want, a wonderful mother and grandfather and he can do whatever he wants. Okay it didn't work between his mom and her ex husband but why is he so angry all time. He was angry ever before they got together. Dude man Lachlan, get over yourself and grow some balls and stand up on your own two feet. Take care of what your families done for you. Its like he's angry at everyone who cares for him.
