So much technology in 2024 and yet some of us decide to use it to watch sand being unloaded for 30 minutes 😂

Boy that thing is riding and gliding low. Just a heart beat away from becoming a Sub. its self. Crazy how some vessels are designed.
@SpenzOT3 ай бұрын
Um, I don't think it is designed that way. I'm pretty sure it is just way, WAY overloaded. I've never seen carriers loaded all the way to the top like a cup of flour before. It's a sinking hazard, that's for sure, but life is cheap in the third world so I dunno.
@annaplojharova14003 ай бұрын
@@SpenzOTNot only how it is loaded, but walking on the sand while it is being agitated by the water does not sound like a safe idea either...

Watching them start you can see there isn't much intelligence here. It's Fred & Frank having no plan whatsoever. I think the choice of help is so limited they have to take whoever is willing to show up.

there is a channel who records these boats going through dams and they made a video showing what its used for, its for like leveling the floors in homes. very strange place
@NevAdv4 ай бұрын
@@static_bolt oh wow. in my country, we used road base or fill dirt to compact the footing and then build the homes on it. from what i understand rain on sand will cause the structure to sink? cheap method to do it i guess? indeed a strange place!

no, it's because the soil is very clayey, and clay is a great water retainer, and has little resistance to compression. Sand is then added to accelerate water flow during rainy weather and prevent deformations in the foundations, which would lead to cracks in the structures.

Greetings from the BIG SKY of Montana. A good way to unload sand.
@AndyHayes12 ай бұрын
If I am correct they move the sand to fill in low land that was once all water so they can build on it. I guess it would be considered economic progress to them.
