Took me about 2 hours biking to 401 Games in the cold, windy, rain. One employee told me that they weren't available for purchase until tomorrow, came and went a few times, then brought out the packs and told me to pay at the front.
Didn't know if the store in my city had the FIELD CENTER CARD and packs as i didn't get confirmation on the card but was told they'd sell packs after the tournament to the general public. I didn't want to stick around for a whole tournament, especially not knowing if the FIELD CENTER CARD was available. I did see that store on the stores list for the event on KONAMI's site however. Another store never replied to my e-mail inquiry.
Also, before i left, Mother told me we were leaving after Father got off work at noon to help my brother move. I already had this planned and the store opened at 11. It was already packed by the time i got there about a quarter after 11. It was nice when the cars were stopped at lights and it was quiet.
I spent hours opening packs and scanning the cards in for the Wiki. Next time i’ll unwrap, drop the cards from the bottom onto something soft (trying to get the 2008 OCG Nationals Light of Destruction Playmat) , then sleeve them and save the scanning for after. I always worry the cards will get scratched when they slide across one another. I know the backs of the older cards scuff easily.
